Blue Nile operates in over 40 countries today. We are looking to develop our international strategy, uncover opportunities, execute flawlessly and turn the international business into a growth engine for Blue Nile.

The Director of International Supply Chain, reporting into the SVP of International will play a key role in driving this international growth. You will design the global supply for scale to enable step change growth. You will plan, build and run operations to deliver an excellent customer experience for international customers while minimizing costs. You’re an operational leader, intellectually curious, data driven and persistent in your pursuit of executional excellence. You will work across the organization and establish relationships and influence with a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the organization to mobilize initiatives. You will work closely with our product, technology and merchandising teams to build a globally optimized supply chain that is aligned with the vision for the international business.

Responsibilities:

• Develop a model for global supply chain for Blue Nile that is aligned with our international strategy and will scale for growth
• Team up with merchandising to create international supplier portfolio that maximizes assortment in our key markets with minimal lead time and cost structure
• Develop, lead and manage our international Fulfillment Center structure
• Drive a tech product roadmap that creates the right level of automation in our order, transfer and fulfillment processes
• Create the operational KPIs, OKRs and lead the ongoing management cadence that will operationalize our strategic goals 
• Work with SVP of International to build and then lead a supporting supply chain team
• Focus on data driven insights to lead continuous improvements and innovations in our global fulfillment
• Manage day to day supply chain execution and logistics partner management
• Mentor, coach, develop and motivate team members to understand business objectives and achieve performance goals
• Work cross functionally to facilitate coordination with multiple teams across the organization to drive efficiency, profitability, creativity and a superior customer experience

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field, MBA preferred

• 8+ years in an operational based function and 2+ years of supply chain experience
• Strategic mindset with the ability to think broadly, refine questions and develop analytical frameworks that drive to key insights and business recommendations
• Experience leading and managing a team
• Prior experience working closely with product and technology
• Strong sense of pragmatism and business judgment to ensure insights and recommendations lead to execution, action and impact
• Operational excellence, passion for detail with laser focus on result oriented KPIs
• Ability to build and foster productive working relationships with cross-functional teams
