About the job: 

As the Director of FlyHomes Mortgage you will be directly responsible for the end-to-end mortgage process, and direct supervision of the mortgage production team. Your team will own the process of sourcing, originating, underwriting, closing and packaging loans for FlyHomes Mortgage clients. As a disrupter in the lending industry, you will elevate the buyers capabilities by enhancing mortgage origination, underwriting, closing and servicing processes. Using your expert knowledge in mortgage product strategy, you will ensure that FlyHomes Mortgage clients receive the best possible rates, fees, services, and workable solutions to unforeseen challenges.

Roles & responsibilities:

• Build out a team and culture dedicated to operational excellence
• Ensure that efficient and cost effective processes are in place to delivery quality service during the entire lending process
• Establish operational activities that allow the business to aggressively scale
• Develop and roadmap strategies and tactics that drive business, both new and through referrals
• Coordinate the interface between lenders, staff, customers and other departments to resolve problems and address exceptions
• Ensure that loan and business services and products meet federal and state regulations and reporting requirements
• Oversee review of loan files
• Direct the development of underwriting standards for use by loan underwriters in making lending decisions
• Approves lending authority and loan limits
• Hold the company accountable to KPI’s and serve as an advisor to the Chief Executive Officer

Job requirements: 

• Bachelor degree in finance or business related field, MBA preferred
• 4-8 years of hands-on lending experience with a financial institution, mortgage company, or relatable real estate experience.
• Experience leading a team of industry experts
• Deep understanding of metrics, reporting and data analytics
• Unparalleled business judgement and critical thinking skills with the ability to use data to quickly establish priorities and develop a strategy to pursue them
• Executive presence that instills confidence in leadership with the team and with clients
• Exceptional people and communication skills
• Ability to grow a new business, while remaining flexible and ensuring top-notch customer satisfaction
