We’re seeking a Product leader with experience growing and driving customer value through paid subscription programs. This role is both technical and business facing and the successful candidate will be analytical, creative and comfortable driving strategy, leading meetings, and developing a cross-functional team of product managers, business analysts, merchandisers, engineers and marketers. Responsibilities:

  • Define the product strategy and execute on your roadmap drive millions of customers to join Groupon’s subscription program.

  • Ensure that the value the customer receives from the program vastly exceeds their expectations, and that members view their subscription fees as the best money they ever spent.

  • Build the subscription business plans, develop the financial models, articulate the product strategy, execute the growth plans, and get buy-in from senior leadership.

  • Define robust product requirements and clearly communicate them to design and engineering teams. Through agile development processes, bring features to market, test, measure, iterate, advance.

  • Collaborate with other internal teams, including engineers, product, marketing, merchandising, sales and operations to execute a successful go to market strategy for the subscription program.

  • Translate business priorities into specific product strategies and tactics in conjunction with other teams to achieve broad financial and strategic goals.

  • Exceed program membership growth targets while managing all the necessary trade-offs to balance membership benefits with financial profitability.

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Marketing required, MBA preferred

  • 10+ years of Marketing or Product Management experience in technology organizations.

  • Proven track record developing and managing successful subscription programs

  • 3+ years managing and building marketing or product teams at e-commerce organizations

  • Demonstrated strength in conceptual strategy and execution while still maintaining a roll-up-your-sleeves management style

  • Excellent customer empathy & CX intuition; demonstrated success in creating innovative and user-friendly products and customer-facing features

  • Demonstrated skills in developing product roadmaps and functional specifications, launching new products, conducting customer research, and informing user testing.

  • Experience owning development of a product and working cross-functionally with UX design and software development teams to manage the day to day tactics.

  • Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to simultaneously manage multiple high-complexity projects.

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully influence stakeholders without formal authority, leading cross-functional teams across geographies and business units.

  • Excellent organizational and presentation skills with the ability to successfully interact and influence across functions at all levels of an organization and with customers.
