The Job:

As Director of Supply Chain (known internally as Catalog Operations) your primary responsibility is to create the most ingenious and high-performing digital and physical supply chain system in the rewards and incentives industry. You will help Tango Card embody our mission of making rewards easy to send and awesome to receive by ensuring our Category Management and Supply Chain teams operate as a seamless unit to deliver a catalog that is easy to care for and reliably available. As part of this delivery, you will partner with departments such as Finance and Business Development to establish the most efficient and forward-thinking processes that deliver rewards for our customers. You will constantly strive to achieve utmost transparency so all stakeholders can easily and proactively find everything they need about our rewards. You will ensure that Catalog Operations performs exceptionally high-quality work and earns the trust of our customers, Tango Card teams, brands partners and suppliers every day. As overall system manager, you will establish metrics to help us measure system performance, detect emerging trends and evaluate system capacity levels. You will use this data to make informed changes to your team operations and to draft strategic plans for your team. You will help your team develop KPIs and dashboards, SLAs, and controls with these metrics in order to most effectively develop the day-to-day operations of your teams.

You will work diligently to identify barriers to scale , then expose and attack those barriers relentlessly. You will keep the long-term results of our customers and our teammates in mind, always. You will guide your managers and ensure an agile environment of professional development and career growth opportunities. 

Reports to: VP of Commercial Operations

As a Director of Supply Chain at Tango Card, you’ll:

  • Ensure our rewards catalog is accurate, compliant, easy to develop, and meets customer needs perfectly
  • Ensure our supply chain system is hearty yet efficient
  • Ensure our supplier API operations are extensive, efficient, measurable and improving
  • Partner with Engineering and Partnerships to advocate for supply chain efficiencies and effective administration
  • Work cross functionally across Tango Card to ensure trust, transparency and high-quality communications
  • Nurture and develop your teams to help them reach their full potential
  • Develop budgets / policies / procedures to support the functional infrastructure for catalog operations

To be effective in our Director of Supply Chain role, you must have:

  • 6+ years of supply chain direction expertise
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain or related field
  • Prior demonstrated results in a high-impact, pioneering operations role
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience sourcing from international vendors
  • Advanced understanding of supply chain concepts
  • Advanced proficiency in Excel

Our ideal Director of Supply Chain at Tango Card will have most of the following skills and experience:

  • 10+ years supply chain involving both digital and physical goods
  • Experience managing the launch of new systems
  • Experience in both physical and digital supply chain processes
  • Statistical modeling experience
