Description
Blue Nile is seeking an E-Commerce Support Specialist to join our Order Support team. This position is focused on resolving complicated issues with customer orders. We work directly with specialists in customer service, finance and our distribution center. A primary function will be to identify recurring problems and work with technology resources in the Business Systems Team and other groups to create solutions involving software enhancements and business process changes. The Business Systems team is small and highly experienced. You will work with dedicated professionals every day.
The ideal candidate will possess a natural curiosity about e-commerce and order processing systems, and a desire to continuously achieve on-time shipments.
Primary Responsibilities:

• Prioritize and take ownership of support issues to ensure on-time shipment of customer orders
• Research complicated order problems and ensure they are resolved in a timely fashion
• Coordinate efforts with software developers to apply system changes that will help eliminate repetitive order issues
• Partner with the customer service group and the fulfillment center on orders requiring special attention
• Participate in planning and testing for new software and new business programs; act as an advocate for the order process
• Work with internal order support tools to categorize, resolve and record order support issues
• Communicate problems and resolutions to appropriate groups
• Advocate for and support new features and patches to continuously improve the order processing systems

Qualifications:

• Experience in e-commerce and retail transactions, including credit cards, refunds, returns, financing options and inventory
• Ability to use software to run scripts, examine output and interact with a database
• Phenomenal attention to detail
• Proven record of good judgment in solving problems and handling challenges
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with the ability to communicate complex order issues clearly
• Ability and desire to work with technical and non-technical people
• Exposure to programming, especially database queries and Java, is a plus
• Experience with Oracle eBusiness Suite is a plus
• Exposure to accounting concepts is a plus
• Strong interest in the business of selling a luxury product online
