Blue Nile is looking for a passionate and talented Executive Assistant who will provide comprehensive administrative support to the Blue Nile Executive Team. This position has wide-ranging responsibilities and requires an enthusiastic individual who is able to operate with a high level of commitment and loyalty. The successful candidate will perform work of a confidential and sensitive nature, which will require discretion, sound judgment, and the utmost professionalism and diplomacy. This position will interact with strategic business partners, the investment community, and fellow employees; the individual must possess superb “customer relations” skills. In addition to excellent organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills, a proactive nature and a high energy level are key to success in this position. The ideal candidate will possess a minimum of 5 years’ Executive Assistant experience with a strong knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
Responsibilities:
- Exercise sound judgment in handling and directing phone calls and other inquiries
- Provide detailed and accurate administration of executive calendars, travel arrangements and expense reports
- Establish appointment priorities and schedule appointments
- Anticipate and prepare executive materials required for conferences, meetings, appointments, etc.
- Coordinate corporate calendar and plan events, including Board and shareholder meetings, analyst and investor calls and meetings, and other external meetings and events
- Serve as liaison to Board of Directors, investment community representatives, and employees
- Assist in quarterly Board meeting preparation, including presentations, meeting logistics, and travel arrangements
- Assist in quarterly earnings release and webcast arrangements
- Coordinate management and company-wide meeting logistics
- Compose and edit correspondence for internal and external communication, with knowledge of company’s business and philosophy
- Identify, classify, maintain and protect files, documentation and sensitive information consistent with record-handling and retention policies
- Prioritize and process incoming and outgoing mail
Qualifications:
- 5+ years experience as an Executive Assistant
- Ability to communicate effectively and interact professionally with external parties and all levels of the organization, while simultaneously building credibility and rapport
- Demonstrated ability to use judgment and discretion in determining the approach or action to take in sensitive or non-routine situations
- Experienced in working easily with senior level executives; professional
- Ability to plan, prioritize and complete projects within deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Experienced in handling travel arrangements and meeting and event planning
