About the Role:Our Manager, IT and Internal Tools will possess a wide-range of experience to be able to contribute to and manage all aspects of OfferUp’s IT systems. This will include maintaining a top-tier service-team and managing the long term vision of IT at OfferUp as we continue to grow and scale.

OfferUp’s IT environment is one with very little on-premise hardware. Our strategy is to leverage cloud-based services whenever possible. The majority of end user computers that we support are Macbooks. We continue to grow as a company, so our ideal candidate will have experience navigating the transition from a small to a medium size organization that enables a hybrid and remote workforce.

  • Define, design, & implement technology solutions that align internal operations with the organization's strategic plan
  • Drive an organizational focus on long-term goals while maintaining a healthy balance of short-term solutions.
  • Validate and remediate technology solutions to align organization’s strategic plan
  • Provide internal users with top-notch technical support and training
  • Ensure the security of the business’ IT assets
  • Plan for and ensure business continuity, compliance, and critical security requirements are met across the enterprise
  • Manage the necessary security audit and correction activity to guard the enterprise against internal and external threats
  • Lead, manage, and grow an existing IT team into a world-class organization
  • Analyze the cost, value, and risks of information technology to advise the executive team and suggest actions
  • Create, maintain and enforce written policies and procedures regarding information technology operations in the organization
  • Provide escalation support for Systems Administrators and Help Desk Technicians
  • Develop & track information technology annual operating and capital budgets
  • Establish & maintain partnerships with IT vendors
  • Work closely with all executives to create strategic plans for the business’s future growth

  • 10+ years of experience working in IT
  • 5-7+ years of experience managing and growing people.
  • Experience and insight on business strategy - an ability to participate in company level strategy conversation and map that to priorities.
  • Creative problem solver - able to identify viable short and long-term solutions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication to collaborate with engineers and executives
  • Strong technical depth including excellent problem-solving skills
  • Eligible to work in the United States
