About the Position:

Join our growing IT team and support Qumulo's expansion! As a Help Desk Technician, you will be part of our IT team’s user support effort for our 440+ employees and assist as needed with other IT projects and initiatives. Primary responsibilities will revolve around our users and their equipment, and there will be ample opportunity to grow your skill set working with the rest of our ever-expanding infrastructure.

Our ideal candidate can already handle most common help desk issues independently, and has a strong desire to learn more about networking, virtualization, scripting & automation, enterprise storage, and cloud computing.

Responsibilities:

  • Incoming ticket triage and Tier 1/2 support
  • Inventory tracking and organization
  • Equipment purchasing
  • User account provisioning
  • Windows/Mac configuration and support
  • Employee onboarding and training
  • Creating and maintaining user facing documentation
  • Desktop, laptop, mobile device and peripheral support

Qualifications:

  • Customer focused / Customer Empathetic
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Familiarity with Linux, Windows, and OSX operating systems
  • Familiarity with Active Directory
  • Strong problem solving skills with a can do attitude
  • Ability to lift and carry 50lbs (e.g. desktops, displays, etc.)
  • Ability to script in Bash and Python a plus
