The Job

The Tango Card IT department is looking for our newest team member to add networking and vulnerability management experience for our growing business needs. We leverage a variety of cutting-edge cloud and on-prem platforms across our business and are seeking a team member with demonstrated expertise in systems administration. As our Junior Systems Admin, you will be the go-to team member on our business systems, function as an escalated support level Our Junior Systems Administrator will be the subject matter expert on corp systems, in particular networking, function as tier 2 support.

We are seeking someone who is passionate about tech, knowledgeable, willing to collaborate on projects, suggest improvements and work with us to ensure we’re empowered to execute Tango Card’s vision of being the number one rewards provider for the global enterprise.

Reports To: Senior Manager, IT

As a Junior Systems Administrator at Tango Card you will:

  • Be part of a team of Systems Administrators, managing a variety of cloud and onprem services, support our users and develop automated processes for seamless growth.
  • Work with IT and Engineering team members in the administration of local infrastructure in all of our Nationwide sites (Seattle, Boise, and Omaha)
  • Administer the workstation and mobile device environment
  • Maintain, audit, backup, and improve local and cloud infrastructure
  • Remediate vulnerabilities discovered in the organization
  • Maintain, improve, and development of IT documentation
  • Respond to endpoint security events and maintain threat policies
  • Evaluate third-party software eg. email filtering and implement them in the organization
  • Provide after-hours IT support as needed.
  • Act as Tier 2 support to Helpdesk
  • Administer our Network Services: Palo Alto, ZScaler, Meraki, AWS
  • Become the subject matter expert for a variety of Tango Card internal resources (Jira, Meraki, Cisco, Palo Alto, VMware, Azure, AWS, Windows Server, Okta, Kandji, Microsoft Endpoint Manager (Intune), G-Suite, Office 365, Box, Crowdstrike, etc.)

To be effective in our Junior Systems Administrator role, you must have:

  • 1 to 2 years of relevant Systems Administration experience or equivalent experience
  • 1 year of experience managing vulnerabilities in a collaborative cross-team capacity
  • Demonstrated experience scripting in PowerShell and Bash
  • The ability to lift and move 30 pounds

Our ideal Junior Systems Admin at Tango Card will have most of the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

  • Administration experience of Windows Server environment and all related services (SCCM, Active Directory, etc.) on a virtualized platform
  • Experience in endpoint security and MDM services
  • Excellent communication, customer service, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Available for as-needed support on an as-needed basis, for a diverse internal customer base
  • Work self-guided, with excellent self-direction and initiative, as well as within a team
