About the Position

At Assurance, we are committed to hiring high potential individuals with the goal of developing them into licensed insurance agents for our On-Demand and W2 sales teams. As we scale these teams, we need a Licensing Coordinator to help guide them through the process of obtaining and maintaining their licenses.


This position is responsible for helping our prospective agents obtain the proper licensure, coordinating our licensing process every step of the way. The ideal candidate is an extremely organized and efficient support professional. We are looking for a self-starter who is independently motivated, is comfortable working at a fast pace with a high volume of tasks, and wants to help streamline a startup environment. 

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and oversee initial licensing exam process for all prospective agents.
  • Guide and assist newly licensed agents through the initial home state licensing application process, as well as the process of adding additional state licenses.
  • Partner with newly licensed agents and insurance carriers to oversee and manage appointment process.
  • Ensure 100% compliance by monitoring agents’ continuing education requirements and assisting with certifications.
  • Monitor and coordinate the renewal of state licenses for agents as needed.
  • Partner with Hub Management and internal teams to develop reporting as needed.
  • Address inquiries from internal teams and insurance carriers.
  • Data pertaining to license coverage in conjunction with call/lead volume.
  • Track E&O insurance for on-demand agents. 

Qualifications

  • Superior organizational and coordination skills
  • Familiarity with the insurance industry
  • Background in sales support
  • Fluency with MS Office Suite
  • Excellent written communication and analytical skills
  • A natural curiosity to learn new things
  • A desire to improve processes and an eye for quality.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • The ability to handle the unexpected and the flexibility to pivot as needed 
  • Experience establishing contracting and licensing workflows for an insurance carrier
  • Experience using Salesforce or similar CRM
  • Comfort using databases to track and manage information
