About The Role: 
As a Knowledge Manager, you will define the content/knowledge management strategy and lead the content architecture for the company. The Knowledge Manager will assess current knowledge management practice and build upon that with the goal of establishing, refining and continuously improving PitchBook's knowledge management approach, putting in place systems and processes that enhance knowledge collection, cataloguing and retrieval. Additionally, they will be responsible for creating governance and standards across the various teams, workflows and integrated apps.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Define the knowledge management strategy for PitchBook and maintain high quality, up-to-date, and searchable content for audiences of varying skill levels
  • Work effectively across the organization with stakeholders, change management teams, service teams, trainers, curriculum developers and subject matter experts to develop and support new and existing products, features, and services
  • Identify and stay current with most prevalent and useful approaches – internal and more broadly in the industry - to sharing and accessing knowledge
  • Identify highest priority employee needs with regard to information availability and accessibility
  • Establish and continuously improve overall knowledge management approach that complements that organization's strategy and business goals
  • Establish and manage a systematic approach to and tools for knowledge capture, curation, cataloguing and retrieval
  • Train/educate employees on knowledge management practices, systems and tools
  • Promote a culture of continuous knowledge sharing, developing sustainable approaches to content generation and information use
  • Leverage analytics to evaluate business impact, track the usage and define efficiency of the knowledge base content
  • Establish writing guidelines based on knowledge base best practices
  • Align and identify integration points for capability, workforce planning, succession planning, competence within the Knowledge Management framework

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in knowledge management with a demonstrated track record of increased responsibility
  • 3+ years of owning knowledge management cross-functionally across a large, distributed organization
  • An understanding of the principles of knowledge management.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop/design new systems and integrate systems in the knowledge management space
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Able to prioritize to meet deadlines and adapt to changing conditions
  • Process-oriented with a dedication to continuous system improvement
  • Proven leadership and team motivation skills
  • Experience in managing cross-team projects to completion
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
