We are looking for a Market Manager who will focus on building in-market warehouse partnerships, driving those partners to proposals on Flexe's client projects, and managing our existing network in the greater Seattle market. The Market Manager will own and develop a geographic market in support of Flexe client needs for quality flexible fulfillment and logistics. The Manager will work creatively to unlock distribution and fulfillment capacity in order to deliver on the "never full" commitment of our network. The Director will own all facets of partner success in their assigned market.
Responsibilities

    • Market Development:
    • Identify, and develop pursuit strategies for warehousing operators.
    • Networking with 3P warehousing providers to evangelize the Flexe value proposition to potential partners to bring additional capacity online.
    • Execute upon pursuit strategies by approaching, educating about Flexe programs, and onboarding warehouse operating partners to the Flexe network.
    • Management of territory health and capacity levels relative to Flexe sales and growth targets.
    • Act as local market expert informing the organization of any changes in market conditions that would impact company goals or client needs.
    • Partner Qualification Audits & Onboarding:
    • Performing site validation audits to review partner fit for inclusion in the Flexe network and provider readiness to handle programs including retail compliance, each picks and medium complexity eCommerce.
    • In-depth assessment of facility quality and security for Flexe Programs
    • Onboarding responsibilities include: education on Flexe Programs and use cases, contracting method and commercial model, technology/product functionality, sales engagements, operating and facility requirements, implementation best practices, etc.
    • Market Maintenance & Partner Management:
    • Monitoring space availability and capturing facility attributes in his or her market to assure capacity to meet future demand.
    • Monitoring provider KPIs regularly to assure assigned sites are performing at or above standard.
    • Performing regular check-ins and larger QBRs with operator partners.
    • Working with below standard sites on remediation plans to bring performance in line with SLAs.
    • Develop strong understanding of partner capabilities including: understanding areas of client and vertical expertise, growth strategies and goals, organizational structures, engagement paths, and space availability.
    • Developing and growing relationships with our 3PL partners.
    • Collect costing information (space and labor) in a standardized way across the market to support Flexe market intelligence.
    • Engagement in Support of Deal Flow:
    • Responsibility for representing Flexe's service offerings on the warehouse partner side of client sales and growth opportunities.
    • Partnership with Flexe's Business Development and Account Management teams on client opportunities, as representative of local warehouse network.
    • Deliver on Flexe revenue targets and new client acquisition goals.
    • Find solutions and deliver proposals within the local warehouse network for clients.
    • Provide business development support for Flexe warehouse partners. Specific responsibilities include:
    • Assessment of demand side deal placement/matching to Flexe network partner availability and capability.
    • Engagement with Flexe warehouse operating partners for opportunity review and assessment of fit.
    • Facilitation of warehouse operator meetings and site visits, both remote and on-site.
    • Ongoing facilitation of operational scope reviews, service level definition, pricing.
    • Provide ongoing and on-site support to Flexe warehouse operating partners to ensure successful kick-offs through implementation and go-live.
    • Cross Functional Support:
    • Ownership of resolution for escalations regarding warehouse partners from Operations and Account Management.
    • Supporting client onboardings as needed.
    • Ongoing education on the features available to warehouse partners within the Flexe platform/systems.
    • Other special projects as required.


Qualifications

    • Associate's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
    • 3+ years experience in Solutions Management and/or Operations Management in 3rd party logistics business required
    • Experience in Sales and/or Client Management preferred
    • Knowledge of distribution and fulfillment operations required
    • Ability to credibly interface with warehouse partners on a tactical/operational level
    • Experience in account management including running QBRs, and involvement in security and operational audits preferred
    • Experience with 3PL services agreements, procurement and negotiations preferred
    • Proficiency in Office, principally Excel and PowerPoint or Google suite principally Sheets and Slides
    • Experience with WMS, ERP and TMS systems required
    • Demonstrated success in collaborating with multiple stakeholders internally and externally
    • Able to travel up to 50%
    • Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction. We will not be sponsoring visas for this role at this time
    • This is a fully remote position, based in the greater Seattle market.
