Reporting to the VP, Global Partner Sales, the Partner Sales Director is a leader who can identify and accelerate strategic partnerships, alliances, and channels to extend the LivePerson suite of products and drive bookings across market segments. This leader will be a hands-on self-starter who is driven to identify and activate world-class Partnership and Alliances with the best companies in the industry. As a key member of the EMEA partnership team, this person will build on our prior successes in Partnerships and Alliances and work to activate those partnerships at the individual executive level. In addition, this person will be counted on to actively contribute to the development of the overall enterprise partner go-to-market strategy.

What will you own: 

  • Initiate, develop, and grow relationships with top-tier partners including, but not limited to: global consulting firms, strategic enterprises, software providers, systems integrators, business process outsourcing companies, digital marketing agencies, etc.
  • Create and execute strategic joint partner business plans with short and long-term horizons with a strong focus on relationship activation resulting in accelerated bookings growth
  • Develop specific strategic plans at the individual partner level and communicate to the business what is required to engage, enable, and equip key partners to be as successful as possible, as fast as possible
  • Develop and activate executive relationships at the individual stakeholder level at key partners to achieve growth and position LivePerson as the best technology platform focused on the core of digital transformation
  • Produce and articulate business cases for prospective and existing partners in collaboration with product marketing and product management departments
  • Work with the enterprise sales organizations to promote and refer net new business to the company, including taking an active role in coordinating deal strategy with key partners and internal stakeholders
  • Serve as the senior day to day contact with key partners and alliances across a range of stakeholders
  • Implement a highly scalable, successful referral program that serves as a strategic element of revenue growth
  • Conduct an ongoing analysis within the partner ecosystem and communicate a deep understanding of key business issues that will impact the enterprise partner Go To Market strategy.

What do you need for success:

  • Broad-based business executive with strategic acumen and proven, in-depth, experience and expertise leading and activating strategic partnerships and alliances with senior executives across enterprise level organizations
  • Recent experience as an executive at a fast-growing enterprise business that has experienced and contributed to scaling in rapid growth situations
  • Proven ability to develop mutual value propositions and communicate them in a compelling way enabling the rapid activation of strategic partnerships and alliances resulting in revenue bookings
  • Experience defining, productizing, and activating partnership programs that bring high ROI to both sides and result in quantifiable revenue
  • Success working with complex products and services in a rapidly developing and fast moving industry
  • Understanding of the business dynamics driving discussions at the executive level within the retail industry as it relates to evolving consumer preferences for customer care and commerce and how technology can enable market leaders to succeed
  • Cross-functional influence and well-developed relationship building skills, willingness to take a leadership role driving initiatives, working across organizations, and structuring new opportunities
  • Entrepreneurial with a high level of energy, dedication, and an unrelenting drive to succeed and win
  • Self-Starter mentality, yet a team player with a collaborative approach
  • Proven ability to create and extend a corporate culture that is a competitive advantage and visible to customers, partners, and employees
  • Extremely strong abstract reasoning and analytical skills
  • High intellectual horsepower
  • Passion for communicating the vision and value of a technology platform that will make life easier by transforming how people communicate with brands
