We are looking for a Software Asset Management Specialist who is passionate about
the power of technology and will help Smartsheet manage its IT Assets, including
software and hardware, more effectively. The role will will be responsible for tracking
software and hardware inventory to ensure assets are being utilized and will look for
opportunities to leverage new applications and consolidate others, while also minimizing
risks. He/she will work closely with procurement in negotiating contracts and IT in
managing hardware. This full-time position reports to the Director of Procurement and
works closely with the VP of Corp IT, and is based in Smartsheet HQ in Bellevue, WA. 

Responsibilities:


● Serves as subject matter expert and program manager for software asset
tracking and asset management program, process, tools and collaboration
across Smartsheet
● Designs and executes best practices and solutions for Software and Hardware
Asset Management programs at Smartsheet
● Works with procurement, IT and key stakeholders to complete enterprise-wide
software support renewals ensuring tools deployed are used.
● Creates and publishes software inventory reports and tracks key metrics for
function
● Recommends cancellation of unused software or hardware and new applications
that replace or enhance existing software
● Manages governance process for tracking adherence and usage of asset
management processes and tools.

Requirements:


● 2+ years relevant work experience in IT, procurement, asset management or
related field
● Passion for technology and trends in software applications. Familiarity with
popular software applications, software license management and related
procurement practices a plus.
● Self-starter with can do attitude, excellent organizations skills and ability to work
independently
● Strong quantitative and problem solving skill set, proficient in Excel (and
Smartsheet a plus)
● Ability to communicate and collaborate with team members across the company
● Working knowledge of software asset inventory tools (i.e., SCCM, Zylo, Altiris,
others) a plus
● 4 year college degree in business, finance, or information technology services
required
