Job Description

Role overview
The Clinical Solutions Lead reporting to the Chief Medical Officer is responsible for providing end-to-end clinical ownership of Accolade’s software and services that enable an enterprise wide approach to clinical solutions and offerings. This role will drive the clinical execution of Accolade’s products, innovating and reimagining existing and future solutions. This role works integrally with customers, clinicians and health assistants, teams of engineers, designers, product managers, clinical process managers, and other stakeholders to build products and services that are of the highest clinical quality and enormously impactful to our members. We are looking for extremely entrepreneurial individuals to innovate and capture the market on a mission to better the lives of millions of people.

A day in the life…

  • Establish and own the vision, strategy, and roadmap for multiple product, process and program areas, ensuring they align with the needs of the customer as well as the overall clinical strategy and product vision.
  • Influence the executive leadership and business to communicate and garner support for product strategy and execution plan.
  • Collaborate with the SVP Product Management and other stakeholders to ensure alignment of high value projects to business objectives on clinical impact, revenue, growth, quality, and efficiency.
  • Own the clinical program roadmap and backlog by making tough strategic and tactical prioritization decisions while helping the company think long-term
  • Lead development and management of clinical pathways and content that deliver on the value of our clinical programs and ensure the highest clinical integrity and adherence with evidence-based medicine.
  • Ensure new product and solution offerings are grounded in well-articulated and differentiated clinical scope and process.
  • Provide clinical direction for Product/Solutions teams in transforming our business; optimizing and balancing cost with outcomes and ensuring value
  • Build & own frameworks to ensure new clinical solutions are optimized for internal and external launch.
  • Represent the member and the provider; Be their champion and voice, bringing their voice into the creation process.
  • Be a leader within the product organization leadership and across the business. Managing team members running projects and products with complex dependencies and roadmap implications.

Qualifications

What we are looking for…

  • MD, DO, or equivalent; Continued education such as MBA / design / computer science is a plus
  • 10-12+ years across the following domains: clinical practice, administration in healthcare, managing and executing products and roadmaps
  • Domain expertise in care management/case management, patient facing applications, physician/provider facing applications; clinical expertise in medicine with active license/board certification is ideal
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and projects using agile methodologies and embracing a lean start-up philosophy
  • Leader in end to end management of new products and offerings with responsibility for strategy and execution across multiple complex teams and organizations.
  • Strong clinical leader; able to effectively communicate clinical needs to business and technology stakeholders and business needs to clinical stakeholders
  • Exceptional individual performer; able to independently and efficiently develop clinical pathways, protocols, and content with modest resources
  • Very comfortable with developing, implementing, managing and executing through influence and in a collaborative manner across a cross-functional set of senior stakeholders
  • Data driven but comfortable with ambiguity. Exceptional problem-solver. Adept at simplifying complexity and developing scalable propositions
  • Successful startup experience and / or scaling a business is strongly
