We are looking for an experienced IT Leader to run our growing IT infrastructure for a fast paced, pre-IPO company. Reporting to the CISO, this role is based in our Seattle office but will have a global team, serving our various offices nationally and internationally. Directors are expected to operate with a high degree of independence, to grow and lead teams, own major business initiatives, and act as a key leadership layer inside the company, capable of taking strategy from the executive team, refining it, translating it into deliverables for their teams, and executing against it. We are looking for a true seasoned Director who has managed managers and individual contributors as direct reports and has experience growing teams.

Your Daily Adventures Will Include

  • The Sr. Director of IT will be responsible for creating an IT roadmap, plan, and budget to improve IT systems and processes
  • Set and monitor processes such that company is compliant with SOX
  • Recommend and implement appropriate software, tooling, and/or processes to facilitate company security and compliance needs
  • Track company spend on IT tools. Recommend policies and changes to improve cost basis
  • Manage complex supplier relationships and multi-million dollar budgets
  • Distill technical decisions and ideas into a consumable message while emphasizing the business value at stake
  • Exceptional professional judgment to manage confidential data/information
  • Proven leadership skills in a highly technical environment
  • Understanding of key business processes
  • Drive an organizational focus on long term goals despite the temptation of the immediate
  • Foster a safe, inclusive environment where team will thrive and grow

Our Vision Of You

  • 10-15+ years in IT Management and Support, preferably with SaaS or web-based technology companies
  • 5+ years management experience, preferably with teams >10 individuals, including both managers and individual contributors
  • Bachelor's Degree in IT or equivalent experience
  • Strong technical and organizational skills
  • Deep expertise in one or more aspects of IT (e.g, systems, help desk, networking, etc.)
  • Expert level experience in MacOS and cloud-native environments
  • Experience growing teams quickly and efficiently 
  • You have a demonstrated track record of servant leadership. You care deeply about your people, and their careers.
  • You employ a variety of flexible frameworks to manage the deluge of inputs into your organization
  • You are personally invested in delivering on your commitments and do not commit to more than you can deliver
  • Have more than cursory experience with all aspects of running an IT organization from the technical to the organizational
  • You favor open communication with willingness to ask and answer questions
  • In a stressful incident, you can guide your response with a sense of calm and purpose
  • You bridge the gap between the technical and the non-technical
  • You create a balance in a team composed of people with varying personalities and skill sets
  • You break problems down into basic components and seek out root causes
  • You see how the problems of today are driving the solutions of tomorrow
  • Given a problem, you look for more than one solution
  • You can pitch your own ideas and shepherd them through to completion
  • You show pattern of being self-started and self-directed
