As a Senior IT Internal Auditor, you will be responsible for executing and leading internal audit projects with a focus on the examination and analysis of internal controls, risks, and processes related to F5’s information systems, IT infrastructure, and IT internal control environment. Plan, supervise, and conduct Operational, Financial, and Information Technology audits and reviews of various organizations, functions, and processes. A primary focus of this position will be assisting with Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance within the IT organization (50%). Perform traditional audits, SOX compliance testing, and support the Internal Audit team in data gathering and analysis. This position also uses cross-functional partnerships to identify, develop strategy, design and build processes to ensure and improve internal controls within the dynamic IT organization.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • The Senior IT Internal Auditor will be responsible for IT Audit and SOX 404 information technology (IT) internal controls testing and review procedures for testing performed by other team members
  • Provide oversight and support for f5’s ethics and compliance risk assessment process. Develop compliance tools, practices, and policies to monitor, identify, evaluate, analyze, mitigate, report, and handle operational and strategic risks.
  • The candidate will be responsible for audits in information security, privacy, infrastructure and system implementation.
  • Performs IT Internal Audit projects
  • Tracks, monitors, and validates completion of management actions from audit observations
  • The candidate must possess strong knowledge of SOX 404, AS5, and the SEC Interpretative Guidance.
  • The candidate must have a broad understanding of COSO, COBIT, GAIT, NIST, CSF or other frameworks required.
  • Involved with new IT initiatives in a consultative/advisory role

Other Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.
  • Enforce to the standards promulgated by the Institute of Internal Auditors.
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally approximately ~10% required
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Strong analytical, organizational and project management skills, and demonstrated ability in making decisions and exercising good judgment.
  • Ability to influence people and process.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with proven ability to build and maintain effective business partner relationships.
  • Solid understanding of business processes as well as Enterprise Resource Planning systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited university
  • 5+ years of IT audit or information technology experience in a public accounting firm or public company, with a focus on security, privacy, risk management, or controls
  • CISA (preferred), CISM, CISSP, CIPP or CCSP
  • CIA, MBA, CPA is a plus
  • Experience with a technology company preferred
  • IT auditing skills in at least one of the following areas: data analytics, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), system development & testing; UNIX; Windows; Oracle, SQL; Cyber Security including auditing an ISO 27001 Information Security Management System (ISMS).

Physical Demands and Work Environment: 

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.  Duties require the ability to utilize a computer, communicate over the telephone, and read printed material.
  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings and weekends).
  • Duties may require the ability to travel via automobile or airplane
  • Job requires the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
