Short description on the role/need for the position

eCommerce and Marketplaces is Ekata’s most mature segment with over 1,000 customers, making up a majority of Ekata’s revenue. Even with our success in this segment, there is room to grow. Our Market Segment team is responsible for aligning our go-to-market strategy across functions and prioritizing resources to growth the business. We are looking for a strategic and operational minded person help shape our strategy and drive current initiatives. As a matrixed organization, this role will help enable effective cross-functional collaboration and communication.

In the Market Operations Manager role you will:  

• Own customer segmentation process to understand unique customer characteristics to accelerate growth and drive focus and investment
• Manage cross-functional initiatives, including marketing campaigns, thought leadership strategies, industry awareness, sales go-to-market, external consultants, and vendor relationships  
• Ensure progress is made towards the eCommerce and Marketplaces market segment’s objectives and key results; Communicate progress on key initiatives  
• Monitor KPIs; Identify areas for growth or project execution risk 
• Deliver regular reports; provide executive team with visibility into segment performance
• Maximize efficiency for business procedures 
• Monitor competitive landscape and trends to inform business strategy
• Enable rich and effective marketing and positioning through customer insight and market analysis 
• Collaborate with sales and partnership teams on territory planning, pricing strategy, and general operations
• Collaborate with other functions on customer interview process to identify unmet needs in the market
• Achieve geographic alignment with EMEA and APAC, including partnerships operations
• Create processes that meet our business objectives

Requirements:

• MBA preferred, Bachelor's degree in Business Administration
• 5+ years operational experience in a technology or SaaS environment; 
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proficient ability to manage complex projects involving multiple cross-functional stakeholders.
• Analytical experience and mindset; ability to leverage strategic frameworks 
• Outstanding people skills and ability to work cross-functionally
• Strategy consulting experience with top-tier firm is a plus 

This role is based in Seattle and will report directly to the VP of Market Strategy.
