Role Description

Dropbox is seeking an experienced Senior Supply Chain Manager to join the foundation of our rapidly growing Infrastructure Supply Chain team. You will be responsible for building the hardware server supply chain that will enable Dropbox to scale beyond our current one billion files/day stored by 600M+ users.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the strategic vendor relationships with key OEM and ODM partners including vendor selection, pricing negotiations, new product introduction, and contract negotiations.  
  • Manage end-to-end vendor operations with existing partners responsible for delivering our infrastructure hardware. 
  • Collaborate with partners to identify & manage metrics required to ensure quality, performance and durability of the hardware
  • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews to drive vendor performance  
  • Implement “best in class” supply chain improvements
  • Partner closely with commodity managers keeping abreast of market trends, including pricing and supply conditions, to help create an overall server supply chain strategy
  • Collaborate with key internal stakeholders including, engineering, finance, legal

Requirements

Skills and Qualifications Needed:

  • BA/BS or equivalent with 5+ years of relevant experience; 10+ years experience preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of OEM/ODM management experience at a major technology company with large infrastructure footprint
  • Experience with the server lifecycle from proof of concept to EOL
  • Experience with running Vendor Business and Technical Reviews
  • Strong knowledge of supply chain principles and processes
  • Strength in negotiations, cost/price analysis and purchasing procedures is also essential
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal are required
