Are you looking for an exciting opportunity to use your deep technical skills to make a positive impact in healthcare? As a member of the IT team, the Systems Engineer role is critical to supporting the IT infrastructure of our business that serve our valued customers. Our IT team is growing and leveraging technologies such as Robotic Process Automation and Microsoft Azure services to better support our business.

What YOU will do:     

• Support the availability, maintainability and security of HMA’s on premise and public cloud IT infrastructure.
• Provide technical guidance and design solutions to support critical business projects and initiatives.
• Leverage automation and scripting of system tasks to eliminate repetitive tasks and increase efficiencies.
• Provide escalation support to internal and external IT applications.  
• Monitors emerging technology developments and identifies opportunities and issues for improvement.
• Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.
• Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, mapping, processes, and service records.
• Assist with normal Helpdesk related tasks as necessary.
• Shares on call support responsibility as necessary.

Knowledge, Experience, and Key Attributes needed for Success: 

• University degree in computer science or software engineering and/or 5 years’ equivalent work experience.
• 4+ years of experience in planning, designing, configuring, troubleshooting, and managing infrastructure systems.
• Proficient with a wide range of Microsoft products including but not limited to Windows Server, M365, SharePoint, Dynamics CRM, Active Directory
• Proficient in VMware or Hyper-V virtual environment administration
• Proficient in scripting
• Ability to conduct research into systems issues and products as required.
• Ability to communicate ideas in both technical and user-friendly language.
• Highly self-motivated and directed, with keen attention to detail.
• Proven analytical and creative problem-solving abilities.
• Able to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment.

Additional Skills for Success: 

• Prior experience in administering IT infrastructure in public cloud (Azure, AWS, GCP)
• Proficient in Networking (LAN/WAN/VLANs)
• Linux systems administration
• Kubernetes administration
