About the role:
Limeade is seeking a manager for our small but mighty Personalization team. In this role, you will lead Limeade to an ML-first future, where best-in-industry algorithms are deployed throughout our platform to improve the employee experience for all our users. You’ll be dedicated to productionizing machine learning applications and systems at scale, leading the technical design, development, and implementation of ML across our platform. In addition to Personalization team, you will collaborate with leaders across the company, both technical and non-technical, to guide best practices with respect to data and evangelize evidence-based decision making.
Responsibilities:
Manage and grow our team of data scientists, software engineers, and data engineers to design, build, and maintain Limeade’s machine learning models and supporting infrastructure
Collaborate with other leaders to drive the technical and strategic vision for advancing machine learning at Limeade
Own the vision and roadmap for the [Data Science/Personalization] Team, supporting a crucial pillar of the Limeade product roadmap
Solve complex problems by writing and testing application code, developing and validating ML models, and automating tests and deployment.
In partnership with other data leaders, inform architectural decisions, establish best practices, develop scalable processes, and contribute to the overall direction of data at Limeade
Mentor individual contributor data scientists and other more junior engineers
Qualifications:
2 – 4 years of experience leading a data science, machine learning, or other software engineering function, with a bachelor’s degree in a scientific or technical discipline
4 – 6 years of professional data science and/or research analyst experience with expertise in SQL and strong programming skills in Python, Scala, R, or similar
2 – 3 years of experience with Databricks/Spark and building and deploying production ML models preferred
Experience with big data platform architecture components like workflow orchestration (Apache Airflow), data pipelines, data lakes, and feature stores strongly preferred.
