Quick Summary of the role

The Technical Enablement Manager plans, designs, develops and delivers effective technical training initiatives for F5’s Channel sales and Solutions Engineering teams around the world. You will use skills and knowledge of F5 solutions to drive the worldwide enablement programs to build pipeline growth and sales revenue.

Primary responsibilities:

  • Build and maintain courseware for internal and external technical sales team members (including lab guides PPTs, WBT, demo guides, role plays).
  • Build and maintain virtual environment blueprints for training classes.
  • Deliver instructor-led training in both in-person and virtual environments.
  • Evaluate learners on the successful completion of courses, including assessments of technical presentations and demos.
  • Work closely with Field Enablement leadership along with Technical Sales leadership and Product Management on adding new topics to the curriculum.
  • Balance disparate feedback from multiple business partners on the Sales and Product teams.
  • Collaborate on other assigned project and logistics coordination as needed (e.g., room set up, invites, etc.).
  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Experience leading end-to-end instructional design process-based methodology (analysis, design, development, and delivery) to build curriculum delivered in multiple modes (Web-Based Training, Instructor-Led Training, Blended).
  • Solid understanding of course-authoring tool and technologies (Articulate, Camtasia, SCORM, HTML, Office Suite) and working knowledge of using version control systems like Git GUI and command line tools.
  • Ability to present, instruct, and evaluate students on both technical and soft skills.
  • Ability to learn and understand technical concepts including learning new technologies quickly.
  • Basic knowledge of security services, SaaS platforms, cloud, and networking computing concepts (e.g., WAF, public cloud platforms, application programming, automation tools, scripting languages).
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to run large-scale sophisticated projects from concept through to implementation.

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of combined work experience in field sales and training-related functions (preferably with technology companies selling to enterprise customers)
  • 2+ years of working in virtual environments (such as VMware or a public cloud platform)
  • BA/BS (preferably in a technical field).

Role details

  • This role reports to the Sr Manager, Technical Enablement and is primarily based out of Seattle, Washington, USA, with flexibility to work remotely as well. 
  • While we encourage remote/virtual meetings, the nature of the role could require travel up to 20% of the time and working across time zones.
