Your Impact

As a Manager for Axon Training, you will have a direct impact on the success of agencies and officers using Axon products in their daily lives, as well as the well-being of the communities they serve. Working directly with our Training Advisory Board and Instructor Network, you will serve a key role in the design and development of training and education programs for Axon. Initiatives range from scaling our International cadre to developing new learning technology and training curriculum with our Learning Design team. We thrive on experimentation and validating our ideas with our customers, and embody Axon’s core mission of protecting life.

The Training Manager role will allow you to stand on the forefront of law enforcement education and training. If you enjoy developing scalable programs in a creative, fast-paced environment, Axon Training would love to speak with you! 

Your Day to Day

  • Collaborate with Sr. Director on program development & growth strategy for Axon Instructor Network
  • Collaborate with learning design staff in the design, development, and implementation of train-the-trainer programs and customer-facing learning assets (Axon Academy)
  • Manage the Axon Training Instructor Network: Training Advisory Board, Sr.s, Masters, Instructors, End User experiences.
  • Manage global calendar, logistics and operations for all on-site Training events (CEW, BWC, and new products)
  • Manage operations and logistics for all customer-facing programming with Axon Sales and Axon Professional Services
  • Develop and manage strategic partnerships with external parties/Advisory Board(s) as they relate to broader Training initiatives
  • Manage budget and business model for in-person Axon Trainings
  • Manage all customer support workflows related to Axon Instructor Schools and on-site Training
  • Pursue the continued improvement and growth of the Axon Instructor Network and its impact on the culture of law enforcement training

Skills Preferred

  • BA/BS or equivalent work experience; MA/MS/M.Ed/MBA preferred
  • Must have teaching experience (classroom, online, or both); Professional experience in Training, Adult Education, Higher Education
  • Knowledge of training development and adult learning principles applied to a Law Enforcement/Public Safety context
  • Interest and experience in new/emerging educational technology (VR/AR, mobile-based learning, AI etc.)
  • Exceptional communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to communicate abstract or technical information to both technical and non-technical audiences in a way that enables learning transfer
  • Strong writing and critical thinking skills
  • Preferred: Experience as a TASER Master Instructor, FTO, or other applied role in Law Enforcement Training
