Job Description:

The UC Systems Engineer is a subject matter expert with an in-depth knowledge of modern UCaaS voice communications and telephony requiring technical expertise in call and video service management, support, and operations.

 

This position will lead the transition from on-prem voice solutions to RingCentral and manage the roadmap for ongoing RingCentral enhancements.

 

Job Duties:

  • Migration of on-prem voice solutions to Ringcentral Office.
  • Provide service management and Tier2/3 support for RingCentral Office, Nice InContact, Zoom telephony and other global UCaaS solutions.
  • Provide support for on-prem phone systems like Cisco Call Manager and other SIP based Unified Communications systems.
  • Monitors and identifies capacity, quality and performance issues for RingCentral and UC to ensure continued uninterrupted operation of telephony systems.
  • Manage global DIDs, licenses and contracts for UC.
  • Support changes to ACD, IVR, Contact Center and line of business application integrations with RingCentral.
  • Continually improve end user phone support by creating self-service knowledge base articles and provide training for Service Desk team.
  • Work with professional services and VOIP vendors to handle project based UC migrations, new implementation and business application integrations.

 

 

Required Qualifications:

  • Leading projects for migrating on-prem voice solutions to UCaaS
  • RingCentral and UCaaS deployment, support and management experience
  • Managing on-prem voice solutions like Cisco Unified Communications including Call Manager and Unified Contact Center Express
  • Proficient with VoIP system protocols including QOS
  • Proficient with SIP trunking and working with SIP and voice circuit providers

 

Other:

Ability to participate in an on-call support rotation for 24x7 support
