Workforce Planning Partner
Role Description
Dropbox is looking for an experienced Workforce Planning Partner to join the newest sub-team within Dropbox’s People organization. This is an exciting opportunity and high-impact role responsible for delivering informative, data-driven and practical workforce solutions to support our People team, Finance and Business Leaders in growing a company-wide workforce planning (WFP) capability. You’ll partner with the Head of Workforce Planning to execute on the long-term vision and roadmap for workforce planning to develop data-driven insights and visualizations with company-level impact. As a Virtual First company, this role is ideal for someone who is “scrappy,” analytical, able to forge cross-functional partnerships, and is energized by the opportunity to build technical solutions from the ground up.
Responsibilities
- Headcount Management: Actively participate on the Central Headcount Management team by developing workforce dashboards (e.g., weekly headcount tracker, location tracker, capacity planning dashboard for recruiting, etc.) and optimizing processes.
- Workforce Analytics: Partner with the Finance team to conduct supply and demand analysis, business scenario planning, and forecasting. Partner with the People Analytics team on workforce analytics projects, including predictive analytics, dashboards/data visualization, and identifying trends and recommendations. Partner with Talent Acquisition Operations to identify ways to highlight key headcount metrics and manage recruiting capacity. Conduct external benchmarking research and refresh key workforce metrics via Radford’s Global Workforce Analytics (GWA) portal to support HRBPs and business leaders with WFP discussions.
- Company Planning: Support the Head of Workforce Planning and the Workforce Planning pillar of Dropbox’s annual company planning process in conjunction with Strategic Planning and Financial Planning. Develop and implement materials/resources used to continuously optimize the company planning processes. Equip and support HRBPs to deliver WFP sessions by developing communications, resources, and tools. Roll-up and share outcomes with relevant stakeholders, including Talent Acquisition, Learning & Organization Development, and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion teams.
- Workforce Planning Technology: In partnership with Finance and ITS, support the HR technology roadmap; participate in requirements gathering, building, testing, and implementation for WFP technology initiatives (e.g., Workday Adaptive Insights, requisition management, skills mapping).
- Strategic Workforce Planning: Participate in projects that support the long-term vision and three-year roadmap for Dropbox’s Workforce Planning team, including building our capability to conduct long-range talent planning and leverage talent intelligence to inform people strategy and organizational design.
Requirements
- 5+ years experience in a global, corporate organization in a Workforce Planning, Analytics or Consulting role
- Dashboards and Reporting: Able to create modeling tools, dashboards, and data visualizations; ability to analyze multiple sources of information/data, identify trends, translate data into insights, and develop recommendations based on analysis
- Project Management: Ability to identify steps needed to complete a project, define/manage timelines, and escalate issues. Excellent prioritization and organizational skills
- Collaboration: Able to build relationships across teams and maintain key cross-functional relationships across the organization (e.g., Finance, Recruiting, HRBPs) to help achieve positive outcomes. Ability to work effectively in a global, matrixed organization and in a virtual environment
- Communication: Able to package and present analysis and recommendations; excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Agility: Able to adapt to shifting priorities and the changing demands of business, manage ambiguity, deliver results with a sense of urgency, and thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Business Acumen: Ability to effectively partner across Dropbox’s org/team structures and understand how teams work together across Dropbox
- Technology: Foundational experience with Workday data/reporting, Data Visualizations (Excel, Tableau) and HR technology
