What You Will Need:

• Requires an Associate's degree and a minimum of 6 years of prior relevant experience 

• 6 years of medical coding experience

• Currently certified as a Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA), Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) or Certified Coding Specialist (CCS) by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA)

• A strong outpatient coding background at a senior level including coding of outpatient/inpatient charts as well as well as data management and coder audit and education experience.

• Must maintain credential throughout employment

What Would Be Nice to Have:

• Experience working in any of the following systems:  EPIC, Cerner, Next Gen, Allscripts or any other EHR

• Knowledge of Anatomy, Physiology and Medical Terminology
