Position Summary

Swiftly is looking for a hands-on product leader for our Cloud Register® platform team to assure continued growth of the Swiftly platform on both the feature and business levels. Successful candidates will balance the complexities of the retail and grocery space with their drive to deliver high impact platform API and SDK features to Swiftly’s internal team of developers as well as our retail customers’ development teams.

At Swiftly we believe that engineering is a craft, and the product management team is a critical component of building big things. 

Responsibilities Include

  • Represent customer and business needs by working with Swiftly customers, leadership and product teams 
  • Create a vision for parts of the Swiftly platform in collaboration with the Swiftly platform software architect
  • Prioritize the feature backlog to arrive at an ambitious roadmap 
  • Deliver API and platform specifications that will realize the roadmap vision 
  • Work with the Swiftly platform feature teams to execute an implementation plan

Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of industry experience managing technical products with a mix of SDK, API, and user experience elements 
  • 3+ years of product experience managing APIs or SDKs with public and private consumers 
  • Experience working on retail pricing features
  • Demonstrated ability to define the roadmap and product plan for platform components that include technical platform and user experience requirements from multiple stakeholders 
  • Proven ability to collaborate with senior engineers and architects to influence engineering architecture and platform decisions and ensure product requirements are realized 
  • Excellent communication skills with an ability to quickly understand and moderate difficult technical conversations to ensure product outcomes 
  • Clear, concise technical writing skills 

Preferred Qualifications

  • A mix of service API and SDK experience and a strong understanding of how the service platform impacts the client user experience 
  • Demonstrated success launching and scaling platform products with public APIs and SDKs
