Our mission is to protect life.

We’re out to make the world a safer place by solving big problems and taking on the public safety challenges of our time. From our company's inception building the TASER device to a full suite of hardware and software solutions, we are focused on providing police agencies with the state-of-the-art devices and services they need to successfully serve and protect us. In the next few years, we're going to eliminate the burden of paperwork in policing, so officers can increase the time they spend building relationships and serving in their communities. We’ll put video at the heart of the police record so our justice system can get to the truth faster. And we won't stop innovating until the bullet is rendered obsolete.

It’s a big mission, but it’s one we’ll pursue relentlessly every single day.

Your Impact

  • Now we need to kick it up a notch, and bolster our tremendous internal development teams with an adaptive, creative partnering leader who can think at the highest planes of strategy and still deliver great results with a strong bias for action.
  • Your mindset should be the same as any great product leader - how can we deliver exceptional product value to our users? - but with the background, skill set, and inclination to work collaboratively with other technology and non-technology organizations to deliver that result.
  • We're looking for a partnering leader who is a master craftsman - someone who has the right tools and the right mindset to take on challenging projects with audacious goals. That means someone who is as comfortable negotiating complex contracts with much larger companies as they are writing one-pagers to put on the API team's backlog; and as equally comfortable with C-level executives (at Axon and elsewhere) as they are with platform team engineers.
  • Success in this role is personally delivering high user value to our users, and thus significant financial value to Axon. We expect you to work closely with Engineering, Product, Legal, and Marketing leaders at the Director to executive level to understand the interplay between product, market, and financial strategy; and to dive deep with Product and Engineering teams to understand the technical and market opportunities of our current product lines.

Your Day-to-Day

  • Work under the direction of Axon's global product management leader, and in conjunction with our product leads and hardware and software engineering leaders, to develop holistic and differentiated product strategies across a build-buy-partner framework that take advantage of the best technologies on the market in conjunction with our phenomenal in-house teams.
  • Work closely with globally leading technology organizations that consistently have significant interfaces into public safety to craft product, technical, marketing, and/or legal arrangements, and represent those partners effectively within Axon.
  • Own significant components of our product strategy, and deliver differentiated experiences to our user base that are both highly valuable and unmatched by our competitors.
  • Work cross-functionally with Marketing, Legal, Finance, and Sales teams to deliver business results.
  • Understand, evaluate, and communicate business-level risk and opportunity - spanning technical challenges, intellectual property concerns, marketing and legal considerations, and sales implications.
  • Negotiate and close complex, high-value agreements that meet the needs of our product teams, customer-facing teams, or largest buyers.

Basic Qualifications

  • Experience working with enterprise software or hardware products at $100M+ revenue organizations.
  • Ability to review and analyze complex contracts and familiarity with standard deal structures.
  • Familiarity with technology operating systems at a level to manage independent interactions with product planning, marketing, engineering and other technical experts.
  • Willingness to travel on a fluctuating basis - 20-40% as necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

  • An advanced engineering degree and/or an MBA.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise SaaS or hardware partner management, business development, product management, or management consulting driving user and revenue growth via partnerships.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, comfort with ambiguity, and an entrepreneurial spirit.

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary and 401K with employer match
  • Discretionary paid time off
  • Robust parental leave policy
  • An award-winning office/working environment
  • Ride along with real police officers in real life situations, see them use technology, get inspired
  • And more...

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
