In order to advance our mission to “Enable Personalized Care for Every Cancer Patient,” we are seeking candidates for the following role: Director of Product, Growth

Summary

 

The Director of Product, Growth will be a forward-looking product professional responsible for validating product-centered growth opportunities and defining business and product strategies that have the potential to drive significant growth. This role will work cross-functionally to engage internal leaders, healthcare industry stakeholders, customers and partners to assess, prioritize and execute on initiatives that can impact company goals and advance the company’s position in the market.

The ideal candidate will be a hands-on entrepreneurial Product Management Director and have proven business acumen, strong data and analytical skills, technology experience and demonstrated leadership skills. He/she will also possess the ability to understand complex value chains and business relationships plus a motivation to help our customers succeed in a rapidly evolving healthcare landscape. 

This role reports directly to the Chief Product Officer, with frequent interaction and exposure to company executives across corporate development, sales, marketing and product management. This position is full time, in our downtown Seattle office.

Responsibilities 

  • Lead and/or collaborate on cross-company initiatives to explore new business opportunities and/or product line extensions that expand the growth prospects for Navigating Cancer. Identify, engage stakeholders, and scope the business potential and risks of various opportunities in partnership with the Chief Product Officer and other executives.
  • Drive the end-to-end processes related to product discovery, including identifying problems and opportunities, rapidly learning and validating our assumptions, sizing market opportunities and dependencies, scoping competition, defining the solutions that we deliver to our customers and patients, and identifying key risks and mitigation strategies 
  • Lead the creation of strategic product roadmaps that contribute to the vision for how our products could work, and what problems they will solve for providers, patients and key stakeholders.
  • Work closely with corporate development team members, product analysts, UX designers, and product managers as needed to develop solution prototypes to engage key internal and external stakeholders and solicit feedback
  • Gather customer, competitive, and market intelligence to identify trends, issues, and opportunities to improve Navigating Cancer’s products & services.
  • Engage directly with customers, partners and industry stakeholders to understand their challenges and unique workflows and develop effective relationships to solicit feedback on concepts or develop potential opportunities.

Qualifications 

  • 10+ years of product and business strategy experience in product management roles with increasing degrees of responsibility and scope
  • Healthcare (ideally oncology) product experience and understanding is required; knowledge of and experience with clinical work flows inside a physician practice, experience working with healthcare data or interoperability, knowledge of medication adherence or care management/care planning, or other related disciplines is strongly desired.
  • Technology product management experience ideally in B2B SaaS product environments
  • Ability to take a holistic approach to product strategy through customer and market insights, business modeling and pricing analysis, customer acquisition strategies and product positioning
  • Experience with solid techniques for customer discovery including interviewing and opportunity assessments, user testing, and prototyping
  • Experience defining end-to-end product mission, strategy and roadmap, working collaboratively across many teams
  • Ability to weigh competing priorities, manage trade-offs and evaluate opportunistic new ideas with stakeholders, driving to consensus while maintaining a clear focus on overarching business priorities
  • Compelling storyteller with experience communicating concepts and ideas to business leaders, engineers and creatives alike
  • Team player, resilient, with a positive outlook and demeanor
  • Passion for the mission of Navigating Cancer and a strong desire to impact a growing healthcare technology company while improving the lives of cancer patients.
  • BA/BS degree is required.
