Who we’re looking for:

As Head of Product for Market Dynamics, you will own the strategy and technical roadmap of how Convoy responds to changes in the balance between freight supply (i.e. trucks) and demand throughout our network. This role is an ideal fit for someone who is interested in developing automated systems that keep our marketplace an ideal place for Carriers and Shippers by ensuring that supply and demand remain in balance. The continuous growth of Convoy’s network, as well as the continuous moving nature of freight supply makes this an existentially important challenge for Convoy and a great opportunity for a quantitatively deep product leader looking to make a difference in a hyper-growth environment.

You will have ownership over the following:

• Ownership of the roadmap, metrics, and technology that ensure Convoy carefully balances and optimizes the distribution of freight capacity across our network.
• Build the tooling and intelligence that Convoy uses to track and respond to changes in market dynamics.
• Roadmap & Features: You will own the product roadmap for part of Convoy. We organize the team, so you get clear accountability for a large area.
• Metrics & Experimentation: You will define the metrics, goals and measure experiments.
• Optimization & Insights: You will work with data scientists to deeply understand our marketplace and how both Shippers and Carriers respond to the incentives we create.

You have the following skills & experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or other quantitative field.
• 4+ years of proven success in Product Management.
• Experience working with technical teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Preferred: Experience in enterprise pricing or market mechanism-design.
• MBA preferred.
