Who we're looking for:

Convoy operates on a culture of experimentation. As leader of our experimentation platform, you will own the development of the fundamental data science tool-kit that Convoy uses to optimize every facet of its offering, from carrier experience to marketplace design. Because we run a two-sided marketplace that serves both Shippers and Carriers, our marketplace has unique challenges in the area of experiment-design and interpretation, making this an ideal role for a highly quantitative product leader who wants to have a broad impact across more than just one product domain. 

You will have ownership of:

• The overall strategy and technology stack that Convoy uses to design and conduct experiments.
• Leading a team of engineers and data scientists in researching and delivering a product around causal inference, marketplace experimentation, and quasi-experimental design.
• Manage a complex group of stakeholders and prioritize against the highest impact experimental use cases.
• Solicit and prioritize the needs of our other product teams to increase the flexibility of the platform to their unique needs of methods and models.
• Optimization & Insights: You will work with data scientists to deeply understand our marketplace and how both Shippers and Carriers respond to the incentives we create.

You have the following skills and experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, or other quantitative field.
• High degree of statistical literacy and ability to think quantitatively
• 4+ years of proven success in Product Management.
• Experience working with technical teams.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience in experimental design strongly preferred.
