About The Role: 
PitchBook's Product team is responsible for building and maintaining our award winning PitchBook Platform and the product suite built on top of it including PitchBook Desktop, PitchBook Mobile, Excel and Chrome plugins, Public API and Data Feeds.

At PitchBook, Product Managers actively influence product roadmaps, feature prioritization and user experience. PitchBook Product Managers establish project goals, measure business impact and identify additional opportunities for success in the PitchBook Platform.

At the heart of every PitchBook product is our data. Our platform includes rich datasets on both public and private markets along with deep granularity on the financial networks and capital flows that fund them. As a Lead Product Manager, the expectation is that you will be an expert on target Equity Data workflows and tools for creating Pitch Decks - Excel Plugin and PowerPoint plugin. You will be responsible for multiple roadmaps, manage and develop other product managers. This position reports to the Director of Product Management.
Primary Job Responsibilities:

  • Prioritize and execute on the Equity Data and Excel/PowerPoint roadmaps to deliver tools and experiences for the Deal Makers
  • Be a SME for our product area(s) and a key resource for team members for client workflows: Investment Banking, Private Equity, Venture Capital and Corporates
  • Manage and develop 2-3 product managers
  • Work collaboratively with key stakeholders and project teams to execute on key initiatives
  • Champion and influence business goals and client needs in discussions with business and engineering partners
  • Communicate updates and opportunities with key stakeholders and executives on a regular basis
  • Support the vision and values of the company through role modeling and encouraging desired behaviors
  • Continuously improve our external and internal deliverables and operational processes

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree with strong academic performance in Computer Science, Math, Statistics, Finance, Accounting or related field
  • Understanding and expertise of the public markets, including the tools related to creating pitch deck
  • 5+ years of experience leading the design and development of customer facing products
  • 2+ years' experience managing other product managers
  • Expertise in leveraging user feedback, usage data and other available resources to inform roadmap decisions
  • Superior project management skills and the ability to drive multiple, complex projects to completion
  • Demonstrated experience working closely with engineering, managing backlogs, making trade-off decisions, defining technical requirements, establishing success criteria and tracking impact
  • Exceptional communication skills including the ability to present complex ideas to stakeholders of any level

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Chartered Financial Analyst or candidate preferred
  • Investment Banking experience
