Our mission is to protect life.

We’re out to make the world a safer place by solving big problems and taking on the public safety challenges of our time. From our company's inception building the TASER device to a full suite of hardware and software solutions, we are focused on providing police agencies with the state-of-the-art devices and services they need to successfully serve and protect us. In the next few years, we're going to eliminate the burden of paperwork in policing, so officers can increase the time they spend building relationships and serving in their communities. We’ll put video at the heart of the police record so our justice system can get to the truth faster. And we won't stop innovating until the bullet is rendered obsolete.

It’s a big mission, but it’s one we’ll pursue relentlessly every single day.

Come Join Us

Come work in an exciting environment in which you’ll use your passion, experience, and strong analytical abilities to help bring new technologies to public safety and leave a positive impact on the world. We cultivate an environment that favors agility, initiative, and creative thinking. Our mission is to protect life, making the world a safer place through smart devices and software services. We genuinely love what we do and are looking for others who share this passion.

Your Impact

As Axon continues to develop best-in-class, category-changing software and hardware products, our ability to deploy those products into production with our customers is increasingly a gating constraint on our growth. In recent surveys about our major product lines, our customers have indicated that the deployments process is one of their biggest concerns and a top reason why they avoid upgrading to an Axon product.

For this particular role, we are looking for a Product Manager who brings the best of product thinking - focusing on outcomes; the creative use of tools, technologies, and process; great collaboration and communication skills within and beyond our company - to this gnarly problem. Success in this role is simply defined: customers who are as enthusiastic about working with us to light up a new Axon product as they are about the product features themselves. To get there requires technical conversations and choices with our various Engineering and Services teams, and great internal team collaboration to ensure a methodology that works for one of our products will be scalable to the others.

Your Day to Day

  • Holistic reviews of customer deployment problems across engineering, process, pricing, and program management disciplines.
  • Guiding the development strategy for our Engineering and Services teams as they relate to product deployments, including product-specific API development and cross-product service development.
  • Deep customer and user engagements on challenging technical topics, especially between our cloud-based SaaS products and legacy on-prem applications.
  • Participation in our One Axon strategy—our vision of seamless experiences built across our suite of products.
  • Using a holistic product mindset to identify, propose, and enact new product initiatives across multiple company functions in service of key customer outcomes.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in computer science, engineering or related field of study.
  • 8+ years’ work experience as a software product manager in enterprise SaaS and product platform or marketplace creation
  • Direct experience with platform-centric products, such as ERPs or CRMs, that require extensive work to deploy into a customer account.
  • Proven experience and success in creating and bringing products to market
  • Ability to generate product vision and strategy based on interaction with customer and insights into the market
  • Great instincts on how to make the right trade-offs, despite the lack of qualitative or quantitative data
  • Confidence and comfort working with high degree of autonomy in a fast-paced environment
  • Some travel domestically and internationally (15%)

Preferred Qualifications

  • You are able to learn quickly and get passionate about the underserved and unique needs of public safety
  • You resonate with Axon's Values and believe technology can be applied to tackle public safety's biggest challenges
  • You willingly embrace candid feedback and can effectively communicate it to your peers and up to R&D leaders

Compensation and Benefits

  • Competitive salary and 401K with employer match
  • Discretionary paid time off
  • A supportive parental leave policy
  • An award-winning office/working environment
  • Ride along with real police officers in real life situations, see them use technology, get inspired
  • And more...

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company. We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.
