This role allows you to work from anywhere you choose across the U.S. (excluding U.S. territories), with the flexibility to work from the Seattle HQ office as often as you’d like. Our core working hours are from 10 am to 4 pm Pacific Time Monday through Friday. Please be aware that all employees are expected to be available during these hours.

 

Your role and impact

 

In this role, you will lead our product channel strategy. 98point6 has gone through a period of significant growth, and based on recent success is well positioned to deliver primary care to some of the largest and most important companies in the healthcare industry, including health plans, health systems, employers and major retailers. You will be responsible for leading the development of our channel strategy—including defining the channel-specific product offer—for all of these strategic customers. 

You will manage a small team of experienced channel managers while adding your own expertise in one or more customer segments as an individual contributor. You will drive the team to identify and prioritize common requirements across channels and lay a strong foundation for future growth and scalability. You will ensure smooth collaboration with counterparts in various domains and be a trusted partner with the commercial team in customer-facing meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team to define our product offer for health plans, health systems, employers, retailers and other channels
  • Coordinate closely with teams across the organization—including engineering, product and commercial teams—to ensure on-time delivery of external commitments
  • Lead a team of channel product managers
  • Set goals, identify new KPIs and deliver on those goals
  • Own one or more of our commercial channels, and serve as a model for excellence while engaging in the following activities for that channel:
    • Define a scalable product offering and roadmap 
    • In partnership with marketing and commercial colleagues, improve our understanding of our competitors and distill that information to inform product strategy and roadmaps
    • Develop strong relationships with customers by delivering solutions, gathering feedback and setting expectations about product capabilities and requirements in collaboration with 98point6 sales engineers
    • Support commercial team colleagues by providing your product expertise in responses to RFPs, RFIs and custom integration requests from customers in your channel
  • Provide executives and other senior leadership visibility into product engineering progress and challenges with respect to all of our channels, while developing strategies for relentless improvement
  • Develop and implement processes that allow the product team to effectively support commercial activity and understand customer requirements and competitive positioning
  • Develop and implement a system of collaboration with a range of product managers who are responsible for particular technical and commercial investments

Qualifications

  • 7+ years in product management, program management or related experience
  • 5+ years experience working with external customers
  • 3+ years experience in managing a small team
  • Experience synthesizing requirements and developing scalable solutions that meet the needs of multiple business customers
  • Excellent written and verbal communication; strong presentation skills
  • Prior experience in the healthcare industry
  • Familiarity with health care industry data exchange standards (EDI formats, HL7, etc.) 
  • Resilience and flexibility
  • Ability to efficiently gather and integrate information, distill and synthesize requirements and summarize conclusions
  • A customer-facing orientation, with the ability to build strong, productive relationships
  • Passion for expanding healthcare access and meeting customer needs
