It currently takes the same amount of time to process an average American mortgage as it does to walk nonstop from Manhattan to San Francisco! Xpanse is working to change that. 

It’s our mission to create a universal platform that brings clarity, ease, automation and security to the origination process. Our SaaS platform will power the mortgage industry and its relationships with a massive network of third-party providers that are integral to the mortgage process. By focusing on the customer, using automation, real-time intelligence, big data, and analytics we are changing the way borrowers, lenders, servicers, and service providers take care of business. 

Disrupting an industry is a team sport, so we are looking for the best and brightest to make an impact and change the future of an $11 trillion industry.  We are growing rapidly in the Seattle Area and looking for a Principal Product Manager to join our team and lead the charter for one of our product pillars that is Borrower facing.


WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING

  • Develop detailed product requirements, working backwards from the customer
  • Convert the product requirements into measurable design and engineering deliverables to be executed in an agile/iterative manner
  • Effectively partner with engineering, design, data science, bizops, finance and legal/compliance to plan and deliver initiatives
  • Own and drive “user acceptance testing” to ensure that what goes in front of customers match up with product vision, requirements
  • Clearly define KPIs to measure success of different initiatives and track/report on them throughout the lifecycle of the product.
  • Build compelling marketing content such as case studies, whitepapers, presentations, etc. to showcase customer value, competitive differentiation
  • Lead the creation of technical documentation, training material etc. that can aid in adoption of the product
  • Establish customer feedback loops to constantly gather inputs that informs future roadmaps or enables course-correction with existing inflight initiatives·

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 6+ years of Technical Product Management experience building consumer facing SaaS products
  • Proven track record of taking several customer facing products from conception phase through design, engineering and launching to customers
  • Demonstrated oral and written communication skills necessary for presentation to different levels ranging from engineers to senior executives
  • Strong analytical background necessary for creating and measuring KPIs, analyzing different adoption metrics, etc.
  • Technical competence with distributed systems, database fundamentals and application security
  • Proven ability to balance between the need to get into different levels of details and the need to be agile, deliver results
  • Track record of managing multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
  • Unrelenting tenacity to get stuff done
  • BS in a technically relevant field

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10+ years of Technical Product Management experience, both as an individual contributor and managing other product managers
  • BS in Computer Science or Mathematics and/or MBA
  • Experience delivering disruptive PaaS or SaaS products within the Fintech industry, especially ones focused on the broader mortgage industry
  • Proven track record of driving user research, focus groups, usability studies etc. to understand challenges with existing products
  • Professional coding experience at some point in the career is a plus
  • Strong writing/presentation examples is a plus
