We are looking for entrepreneurial and passionate Product Managers to innovate and execute across a rapidly growing, fast-paced company and industry from our growing Seattle office.

As a part of the Driver Growth organization, the Cities team is responsible for working with local governments, regulators and partners to ensure Lyft can operate in existing markets and grow into new ones. The Cities team has evolved to unlock new opportunities for Lyft to grow in more regulated markets, and to meet the specific demands of our enterprise customers. The Cities team is also a critical part of ensuring Lyft has the safest drivers by working with 3rd parties who perform background and DMV checks. Since the beginning, Lyft has been proactive in partnering with local governments and regulators, and the Cities team continues to further this mission. The team takes pride in understanding the nuances of our drivers, our markets and our regulators, as well as in designing scalable platforms that enable future growth while meeting present needs. The product manager will work closely with our Regulatory Operations, Compliance and Onboarding teams to build both user-facing and backend solutions.

We’re looking for a product leader to join a fast-moving team and company to help build scalable compliance systems, to help Drivers earn a living and deliver the best in class customer service. This Product Manager will be responsible for finding opportunities, prioritizing the most impactful features and projects, and developing a long term strategy and vision that will establish Lyft as the most trusted partner to local regulators. 

This individual possesses a high level of product development experience, and has experience working in deep product domains and using data and experimentation to guide a large cross-functional team towards a long term vision. This Product Manager will ensure we’re solving the needs of our customers and driving business impact by becoming the go-to leader for multiple cross-functional teams. This Product Manager should be very detail-oriented, while also seeing around corners to build for future growth. This Product Manager should be comfortable working in complex, fast-paced organizations - aligning multiple development and cross-functional teams to a single vision.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the product domain deeply to become the domain expert for multiple cross-functional teams
  • Develop a roadmap of the most impactful features to improve the product experience for Drivers and drive business impact
  • Execute on the roadmap by working closely with Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Design, Regulatory Operations, Compliance, Legal and Local teams
  • Translate customer and internal-user needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and deep understanding of the domain
  • Communicate and report overall status, primary metrics, key issues and solution plans and readiness timelines to senior management and executives
  • Plan product strategy over a 1 year time horizon and communicate vision to a broad set of stakeholders

Experience:

  • 3+ years of product management or equivalent consultant experience
  • Experience using SQL to pull data for basic reporting
  • Passion for Lyft and what we are trying to achieve in sustainable urban transportation
  • Natural ability to make things happen around you. You manage project ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies in an organized and structured way
  • Ability to define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
  • Excellent judgment and thoughtfulness about the dynamics of a product ecosystem
  • Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level -- within teams, within the company, to users, to press, and other audiences
  • Experience running A/B tests and using common statistical techniques to evaluate results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially to communicate effectively with senior executives
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize and drive independently
  • Detail-oriented with superior organizational skills -- balancing multiple projects with multiple development teams, deadlines, and requests should be second nature to you 
  • Experience working on Operations heavy products
  • Experience working in a regulated industry such as healthcare, finance or government
  • Experience working on internal tools, backend systems and/or platform products
