System1 seeks a motivated, resourceful, creative, and results-driven product manager with 3+ years of experience in consumer internet and/or mobile apps. You will work hand-in-hand with software engineers, business stakeholders, and customers to build engaging products that deliver high value to users, customers, and the business. You get stuff done and done well, and you have an inherent sense of urgency. You will provide leadership across functional teams to conceptualize, build, and deliver our next great product or feature. You chase down answers, locate resources, and overcome obstacles while creating positive relationships across the organization. Ultimately you hold yourself accountable to the results you deliver.

The Role You Will Have

• Gain a deep understanding of user and customer experience, identify and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth
• Create prototypes, design and run data driven experiments, launch MVP products for marketplace validation
• Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key external partners
• Develop product business models and positioning strategies
• Translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes
• Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact
• Work closely with engineering teams to deliver with quick time-to-market and optimal resources
• Manage the product backlog
• Drive product launches including working with internal and external stakeholders to maximize impact
• Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding
• Coordinate and facilitate sprint/release planning meetings, daily stand-ups, reviews, retrospectives, release notes and demo

What You Will Bring

• 3+ years as a product manager in an fast paced, agile environment
• Consumer internet and/or mobile app product management experience required
• Extensive, day-to-day experience working with software engineers
• Experience as an active participant and facilitator in daily scrum / standups
• Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle
• Proven ability to develop product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations to executive management
• Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development, web and mobile technologies
• Strong problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done
• Skilled at working effectively with cross-functional teams in a matrix organization
• Startup experience a plus
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• MS/BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Marketing or equivalent preferred
