Lyft connects people to transportation to change the way we live and get around our communities. We are looking for product managers who bring exceptional creative and analytical skills to drive forward a best in class product. Product management at Lyft leads the integration of engineering, data science, and design to achieve the company’s vision for reinventing transportation. We are looking for entrepreneurial and passionate Product Managers to innovate and execute across a rapidly growing, fast-paced company and industry from our growing Seattle office.

Drivers are fundamental to the Lyft marketplace and product experience, and the Driver Onboarding team is charged with building the most easy-to-use, most efficient onboarding process possible for our Drivers. This involves collecting all the info we need from Drivers, ensuring safety and compliance with regulations on the platform, and training Drivers to set themselves up for success on their Lyft journey. The team takes pride in being obsessed with the challenges our Drivers experience while onboarding, using data as the foundation of our work, optimizing for long term business value over short term growth hacks, and working with a large, on the ground operations team in every market, which provides a human touch to the product.

We’re looking for a product leader to join a fast-moving team and company to help build one of the largest onboarding systems in the world, to help Drivers earn a living and deliver the best in class customer service. This Product Manager will have full responsibility working with Data Scientists and Analysts to find opportunities, prioritize the most impactful features and projects, and develop a long term strategy and vision that will establish Lyft as the easiest and safest place to earn income for Drivers.

This individual possesses a very high level of product development experience, and has experience working in deep product domains and using data and experimentation to guide a large cross-functional team towards a long term vision. This Product Manager will ensure we’re solving the needs of our customers and driving business impact by becoming the go-to leader for multiple cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities:

  • Understand the product domain deeply to become the domain expert for multiple cross-functional teams.
  • Develop a roadmap of the most impactful features to improve the product experience for Drivers and drive business impact.
  • Execute on the roadmap by working closely with Engineering, Data Science, Analytics, Design, Operations, Growth Marketing, and Product Marketing
  • Translate customer and internal-user needs into clear, well-defined functional and technical requirements backed by data analysis and deep understanding of the product domain
  • Communicate and report overall status, primary metrics, key issues and solution plans and readiness timelines to senior management and executives
  • Plan product strategy over a 1 year time horizon and communicate vision to a broad set of stakeholders

 Experience & Skills:

  • 4+ years of product management experience in the tech industry
  • An academic background in Computer Science or related engineering discipline.
  • Passion for Lyft and what we are trying to achieve in sustainable urban transportation.
  • Natural ability to make things happen around you. You manage project ambiguity, complexity, and interdependencies in an organized and structured way.
  • Ability to define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products.
  • Excellent judgment and thoughtfulness about the dynamics of a product ecosystem.
  • Strong communication skills and intuition for communication strategy at every level -- within teams, within the company, to users, to press, and other audiences.
  • Experience running A/B tests and using common statistical techniques to evaluate results
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, especially to communicate effectively with senior executives
  • Strong time management skills and ability to prioritize and drive independently

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working on Operations heavy products
