Job Description

The Product Manager I, reporting to the Director, Government Solutions, will help deliver Accolade offerings within Accolade's Government Solutions business unit assist the product leader to develop key deliverables for Accolade’s beneficiary experience. This role will run the prioritization process as well as turning those lists into roadmap items to support Accolade's Government Solutions offerings. We’re looking for someone who has the proven ability to accomplish this with direct hands-on ownership. A relentless commitment to our customers and excitement to take on new challenges is a must. A day in the life…

· Deliver against the product roadmap; prioritizing long-term and short-term initiatives that are aimed at driving accolade ahead in alignment with strategic objectives

· Demonstrate strong sense of accountability for product roadmap even where ownership resides with the respective functional areas

· Create and maintain sequencing of projects, prioritization and tradeoffs with regards to both short-term and long-term strategic goals 

· Proactively identify and resolve dependencies that may impair your teams ability to meet its strategic, financial and technical goals 

· Provide strong problem-solving skills and work across functional areas to drive the product execution leading to greater member outcomes 

· Build trusted relationships within your team and other that have no direct reporting line

· Collaborate cross-functionally to create effective relationships, listen, communicate, influence, and collaborate cross-team

· Continuously manage expectations with all relevant stakeholders

· Participate in executive level cadence and meetings with leadership team where appropriate

· Work cross-functionally with other Product Managers and Technical Product Managers to assess scope, impact and overlap – over time running this process to actually build the roadmap and align across lists for maximum resourcing and delivery to benefit as many stakeholders as possible

· Work with other teams to perform deep data driven analysis, to surface actionable insights and product requirements; drive the implementation of recommendations derived from this analysis

Qualifications

What we are looking for…

· BA/BS in computer Science or related technical or scientific field and/or a clinical degree; MBA a plus

· 1-2+ years of product management (B2B, B2C consumer products) or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability to discover opportunities, and then define and deliver products

· Some domain level expertise

· Efficiently gathers and produces requirements (epics, stories, etc.) for his/her own area(s) with mentoring and garners respect from peers and seniors for the approach and solution

· Understands the overarching team goals and business context and seeks to participate in the process

· Contributes effectively in team meetings by bringing forth issues faced and providing ideas to solve the issues Background or experience in the healthcare industry or closely related field is preferred

· Strong data and analytics background

· Strong technical abilities. You are intimately familiar with SaaS development practices used to build and deploy modern software applications.

· Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills. 

· Self-starter with ability to lead projects and build new products from the ground up independently

· Attention to detail, including proven ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously 

· Ability to think strategically, and execute methodically 

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment where continuous innovation is a must

· Demonstrated ability to use hard data to back up assumptions and develop business cases

· Willingness to roll up your sleeves and do whatever is necessary; general manager / owner mentality. 

· Proven ability to dive deep to learn new products, businesses, and the competitive landscape

· An ability to understand and discuss technical concepts, schedule tradeoffs and opportunistic new ideas with technical and non-technical employees

· Proven creativity in the software that you've helped deliver
