Job Description

Accolade is looking for a Product Manager to drive the strategic design and development of the applications that are integral to the operations of the Health Assistant Center. Working with our senior leaders, other Product leaders, the Technology organization and customers, this position will align with efforts to develop the overall clinical strategy at Accolade, enhance our clinical outcomes tracking and management, and the personalization of our clinical engagement with members.

A day in the life...

  • Collaborates with the Product Development Leader to design and drive the product roadmap
  • Contributes to and champions the overall product roadmap and backlog. Build trust with stakeholders by maintaining an understandable, accurate roadmap for the clinical area
  • Deep engagement with clinical stakeholders in both strategy and operations to develop a cohesive product strategy in the clinical area
  • Collaborate with additional product managers on the application team and user experience leads to ensure alignment of clinical portions with the overall vision
  • Defines and executes the implementation for new products/features
  • Defines how accolade health assistants will interact with new feature. Analyzes existing business processes
  • Understand improvement areas/requirements and adjusts processes accordingly.
  • Owns the interface with the technology development and business teams to build out product feature set. Generates user stories, reviews backlog and prioritizes areas for sprints
  • Collaborates with learning & development to identify new product/features which require training and/or Communications internally and externally and ensures materials meet the needs of all audiences
  • Works with key operations team members to support adoption and ongoing operational ownership of new product/features
  • Owns the metrics associated with the product success in partnership with the product development leader
  • Owns relationship with third party business partner (as needed)
  • Part of an agile team owning a large and complex feature set
  • Managing some cross-team dependencies and implications beyond single agile team
  • Accomplishes all tasks without supervision, self clarifying ambiguity in most cases regarding product roadmap.
  • Prioritizes delivery for feature set with little guidance needed
  • Learns broad range of choices, business options and available execution options to accomplish the work as well as becomes an expert for the team in one area as well as becomes an expert for the larger organization in one or more area(s)

Qualifications

What we are looking for…

  • BA/BS in Computer Science, experience with employer benefits systems, some related technical or scientific field and/or MBA
  • 3-5+ years of product management or equivalent experience with demonstrated ability to discover opportunities, and then define and deliver products
  • Hands on experience in agile software development
  • Background or experience in clinical products, and/or health care environments
  • Strong data and analytics background
  • Strong technical abilities. You are intimately familiar with SaaS development practices used to build and deploy modern software applications
  • Prior experience with health care application providers and strong experience of healthcare technology marketplace
  • Exceptional written and oral communication and presentation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and projects using agile methodologies and embracing a lean start-up philosophy
  • Strong customer and stakeholder empathy. You must be not only the voice of the customer, but at various times the voice of marketing, finance, engineering, support and ops. You must be able to channel many points of view
  • Understanding of the technical architecture of complex and highly scalable web/mobile applications products
  • Domain expertise in application lifecycle management, continuous delivery, launch/deployment, devops, application development, web application operations, PaaS, IaaS, cloud services
  • Successful startup experience and/or scaling a business is strongly desired
