DESCRIPTION

Amazon Appstore is hiring a Product Manager to define world-class experiences that impact millions of customers worldwide. In this role, you will drive the product strategy, vision, and execution of new customer-facing product initiatives in Mobile Gaming. You will take on challenging product management assignments and handle them with autonomy and high visibility. You will work closely with partner teams that include user experience design, marketing, business development, program management, and engineering teams to identify business opportunities and bring new customer experiences to market.
As the Product Manager, your key responsibilities will include:
· Defining new customer experiences that drive discovery and engagement of mobile games
· Evaluating the business opportunity and application of new and emerging technologies that improve app discovery and engagement
· Generating buy-in for the product vision with leadership and partner teams
· Creating and maintaining an optimized and logically sequenced roadmap
· Translating customer experiences into clearly defined product requirements
· Managing prioritization and trade-offs to ensure delivery of a great customer experience
· Anticipating and resolving strategic issues that impair the team’s ability to deliver
· Leading cross-functionally to ensure the product vision is implemented effectively

About the hiring group
This role is on the product management team in the Appstore org, with an emphasis on launching new customer-facing products and features that improve the discovery of apps, games, and their content across devices (such as Fire TV, Fire Tablets, and beyond) and marketplaces.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· MBA from top-tier school
· Experience defining new user-friendly products for consumer websites and/or mobile applications
· Experience in mobile gaming or passion for mobile gaming
· Experience defining a product roadmap and leading programs that meet aggressive goals and deadlines
· Strong persuasion skills and ability to create buy-in for a bold vision
· Experience creating product specifications, performing competitive analysis, and/or market research
· Technical proficiency demonstrated through technical degree or equivalent work experience
· Experience with agile/Scrum software development
· Strategic product acumen and proven ability to define a winning business strategy
· Analytical aptitude and data-driven problem solving abilities
· Excellent oral and written communication skills to senior executive audiences
