What you’ll be doing 

We need a top Product Manager to join our user adoption and content governance efforts at Tableau. 

You’ll join our mission to help everyone see and understand data by enabling users of all data skill levels discover and pursue their data journey with Tableau. You’ll help organizations democratize data by removing barriers to data access for individuals while feeling secure. Most of all, you’ll build experiences that empower people to build high-trusted relationship with data.

As an ideal fit for this role, you are a problem solver with ability to work alongside with combined dev and UX teams doing full-stack software development. You are adaptable to changing business and engineering needs and love to apply your problem solving skills towards customer challenges. You already have some experience in one of the following technologies: SaaS, on-prem server architecture, cloud hosted topology and AI based product solutions. You relentlessly seek the best customer outcomes and synthesize complex information from a wide variety of customers, team members, and stakeholders to create simple clear delivery plans. 

• Research customer needs and market developments
• Develop and communicate product strategy, roadmap and feature backlogs
• Understand user patterns from usage data and qualitative product feedback.
• Work collaboratively with Engineering, UX, Marketing, Customer Success and Sales on product implementation and concept testing
• Engage with customers as a Tableau trusted advisor to ensure their success, manage escalations, requirements analysis and product planning activities 
• Present Tableau product capabilities, value propositions, and feature roadmap briefings to customers, prospects, the Tableau sales team and at other public events. 

Who you are...

• Experienced 2-5 years in industry, with demonstrated Product Management or ability to deliver product to market a plus.

• Passionate and Creative, you are here to make a difference and do what needs to be done 
• A Ruthless Prioritizer who treats time as a team’s most valuable asset 
• Experience requirements 
• Education: BA/BS degree in STEM; MBA is a plus 
• Team: Understanding of project management principles, goal formulation with KPIs and OKRs 
• Data: Professional experience with BI tools, relational databases 
• Tech: Working knowledge of server, cloud, and mobile. Experience working on Data and Machine learning products a plus. 
• Dev as a plus: Java, C++, JavaScript related; React, iOS & Andro
