Transparent Systems is looking for a motivated, self-starting Product Owner (Scrum) to join our team. This role will play a critical role in shaping the future of our company. 

 

At Transparent Systems, we are rewiring global financial settlements with an open universal platform that enables secure, frictionless payments through distributed cryptographic systems. Our product offering supports applications from B2B payments and cash management for financial institutions to cross-border transactions and remittances. What you’ll be doing:

• Work with the business, product, and engineering teams to deliver on key product goals

• Accountable for managing the product backlog, including:

o Prioritization of all items based on input from business and engineering

o Provide visibility of the product backlog to all affected stakeholders, and ensure all are clear about the current and future planned work

o Accountable for ensuring all backlog items are described at the appropriate level for the engineering team

• Collaborate with the engineering team to write epics and stories, and define acceptance criteria

• Lead planning for product release timelines

• Maintain and update the product requirement documents to inform engineering efforts, and maintain alignment between it and the backlog

• Collaborate with UI/UX Designers to incorporate their workflows into the Sprint planning process

• Assist with coordinating and maintaining product documentation

• Propose enhancements to the Agile development practice

• Work with the Product team to collect feedback from partners, and work closely with the Design and Product team to communicate suggestions and improvements

• Ensure development timelines and release schedules are communicated and managed with partners and customers

Faithfully and broadly represent the needs, interests, and positions of external parties (partners, customers, investors) to Engineering to ensure Engineering is focusing on high-value adds

What you bring to us:

• Working experience with Agile methodologies, including Scrum

• Deep understanding of technical stack, including API and Web applications

• Deep understanding of software and product development lifecycle

• Experience with enterprise software development

• Ability to exhibit sound business and technical judgement to prioritize stories and tasks

• Experience with Pivotal Tracker and Confluence a plus

• Advanced project management practices

• Distinctive problem solving and analytical skills

• Solid business acumen to understand business problems and devise technical solutions

• BS or equivalent experience; MS or MBA preferred

• Agile or Scrum certification preferred

• 5+ years of experience as a Scrum Product Owner or similar role shipping production software

• Enterprise startup experience preferred\
