Senior Product Manager- Cloud Backup and Migrations (2 roles)

JOB DESCRIPTION 

SkyKick’s Cloud Backup enables organizations to protect their intellectual property by providing a tool set to backup and restore Microsoft Office 365 data to the cloud. Partners across the global draw on our Microsoft Office 365 expertise to provide a comprehensive and innovative feature set to protect their customers’ data thus reducing loss of productivity, improving relationship and provide long-term recurring revenue. 

As Senior Product Manager, depending on which product pillar you are assigned to, you will work to define market understanding, answer strategic business questions, and understand customer needs. You’ll help direct these insights into our product vision and road-map. You’ll work with SkyKick’s Cloud Backup or Migrations Engineering team to define product features and functionality that will propel SkyKick’s market-leading Migration or Backup solution even further, and to bring those features to life through an agile software development planning process. As new functionality is developed, you’ll work across SkyKick on readiness, go to market and our release process.

This position will have considerable impact and influence on our product direction, partner experience and company strategy.

 This position reports to the Director of Product Management for Cloud Backup or Director of Product Management for Migrations, respectively.

 RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Own and define the product strategy and vision based on your understanding of partner needs, market, competitive situation, and SkyKick’s corporate goals 
• Drive the research and customer insights and ability to deeply understand customer needs and pain points to translate those into product opportunities
• Be the product champion and customer advocate. Evangelize the product both in and outside of SkyKick. Think and act as a business owner
• Listening, with empathy, leveraging your analytical abilities to direct what you hear into product insights and actions
• Define and help manage product KPIs and goals. 
• You’ll be the subject matter expert for product needs and how partners interact and experience the product throughout their journey with us. 
• Be a product owner for the team. You’ll drive the feature requirements, definition and prioritization with our engineering team. 
• Be focused on SkyKick’s competitiveness. You’ll be responsible for ensuring SkyKick’s competitors remain in the shade.
• Work with our Partner Support team to understand their workflows and tools then define and implement improvements to make them more efficient and our partners more successful.
• Work with our technical writing and marketing teams to create documentation, marketing content and go to market deliverables
• Work with the team on processes to make the development process efficient, predictable, high quality and enjoyable
• Be a quality champion. Create measurement tools and processes to monitor quality and drive product and system improvements
• Create and manage customer feedback tools
• Define and set up monitoring of internal metrics to understand where we’re succeeding or need to improve

QUALIFICATIONS 

We’re looking for a candidate who meets most of the following criteria: 

 Demonstrated leadership & passion and a history or accomplishments particularly in owning a product area and ideally experience managing a product from initial concept to market success

• Willingness to learn, and a be team player, experience leading virtual teams and direct report
• 5+ years of cloud and/or enterprise software product management experience 
• Strong technical knowledge ideally with a technical degree in a field such as Computer Science as well as deep business understanding ideally with an MBA or related education.
