Role Description

As Dropbox expands beyond a single File, Sync and Share product, our Product Platform teams are looking to scale to support new products and capabilities. Our teams own the platform that support the core capabilities for our products throughout the company. 

 

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager to help us extend our platform to support our new multi-product company strategy. You will partner with multiple platform teams to understand the needs of our Dropbox products and end-users to ship new core capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • You will be instrumental in setting long term vision for your teams and break them down into short term milestones
  • You will define product metrics and set ambitious targets for your teams
  • You will maintain a solid understanding of in-flight and near-term projects across Dropbox to inform prioritization of platform deliverables
  • You will need to anticipate secondary and tertiary effects of major decisions within a complex and technical ecosystem
  • You will need to coordinate with teams and manage stakeholders across organizational boundaries

Requirements

  • 5-7+ years experience building great software as a Product Manager or equivalent
    • Nice to have: BS or MS in Computer Science, electrical engineering, applied math/statistics, or similar experience as a Product Manager, Software Engineer or startup founder
  • Demonstrated ability to define a user-centric long-term strategy supported by clear tactics and milestones 
  • Launched multiple successful platform products and features
  • Demonstrated technical proficiency and effectiveness working closely with senior engineers
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Strong skills around cross-functional collaboration, influence, and communication; ability to achieve clarity and drive focus in complex and dynamic contexts
