Position Overview

 

As Senior Product Manager, you’re a born collaborator with a broad range of skills - you can talk technology with developers, user experience with designers, acquisition and retention with marketing, numbers with finance, and strategy with executive leadership. You’re a subject matter expert recognized as a fierce customer advocate with keen market insight. What You’ll Do

  • Be a leader on the Product team, using your influence and experience to ensure a cohesive road map and strategy for the product. 
  • Hypothesize, gather, and analyze data in partnership with data scientists regarding user interaction with the product; aggregate into meaningful insights and solution proposals.
  • Be proficient in identifying new opportunities via qualitative and quantitative research, ethnographic studies, A/B testing, funnels, and polls/surveys
  • Contribute to the high-level company vision and business goals and creatively direct resources toward achieving them, while delivering value to the customer.
  • Serve as an agile Product Owner: manage a prioritized backlog; define user stories with detailed acceptance criteria; participate in daily standup and sprint reviews of engineering work products
  • Actively monitor project risks and scope-creep to foresee/identify potential problems and proactively identify solutions to address them.
  • Ensure stakeholders are aligned and committed to delivery per agreed project plans; Act as a central point of communication for all stakeholders
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project status reports, document feedback and data, track timelines, and organize everything into a medium to be shared and referred back to as needed.
  • Stay abreast of current trends and processes in product development and technology in the industry, and implement updates to our processes when appropriate
  • Provide mentorship to junior members of the Product team
  • Be an active participant in the game.

 

Qualifications & Required Skills

  • 6+ years experience in a product role.
  • Superior interpersonal and listening skills (in other words: can listen much more than they talk).
  • Proven success in delivering technology products in an enterprise environment.
  • Proven ability to adapt workflow to the needs of a team to maximize productivity.
  • Proven leadership ability in a software development environment.
  • Superior project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; proven ability to leverage data in decision-making.
  • Values passion, authenticity and effectiveness, and knows that all three are needed to be successful.
  • Significant geocaching experience highly desired.
  • Bonus: experience in JIRA, Podio, and Google Analytics.
  • BA/BS or equivalent experience
