Napster is seeking an experienced Senior Product Manager for D2C to join Napster’s Product Team in Seattle.

About the role:

Napster’s Sr. Product Manager will take our mobile apps to the next level of greatness! This position will define opportunities to develop a bold vision for the app that grows user adoption, excites and retains existing users, and defines strategic differentiation. This role is focused on managing consumer mobile apps that create a delightful and immersive experience for Napster’s users across all targeted regions. The position will support millions of existing users in our B2C direct-to-consumer (D2C) business as well as co-branded and white-label mobile app services to the consumer market through various international partners. The Sr. Product Manager will be located in Seattle and will be reporting into our VP/Head of Product.

About you:

The successful candidate in this role will define and execute strategies to continuously improve the performance of our mobile apps. At Napster, we are preparing to revitalize the brand and deliver differentiated value. We need an ambitious, highly collaborative individual with proven capabilities in direct-to-consumer mobile applications to help us get there.  

You are the ideal candidate if you have expertise in consumer-targeted interactive mobile apps. You will work closely with the D2C user experience designer in identifying and executing the best opportunities for advancing our objectives for increasing user conversion and retention. To this end, you will collaborate with the full product development team as well as marketing and BI analytics.

Main responsibilities:

  • Identify opportunities and define winning approaches to improve mobile app performance by applying leading-edge pragmatic methods, such as instrumenting customer journeys, leveraging statistical data analytics, validating hypotheses and conducting A-B testing.
  • Utilize data to understand customer needs and behaviors, and transform that knowledge into app enhancements and new features.      
  • Own the product backlog for your team, spanning iOS, Android and web client platforms      
  • Measure performance, keep your pulse on the customer, anticipate bottlenecks, make trade-offs and take acceptable risks to maximize the benefit for our customers and business.    
  • Write detailed user stories and requirements for product initiatives, and assist a cross-functional team of designers, engineers and marketing to bring them to life.      
  • Drive D2C product and strategic planning and provide updates to stakeholders.
  • Lead, coordinate and prioritize work of a cross-functional teams located in the US and in Europe

Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in business/management or equivalent or Bachelor degree with relevant work experience
  • 6 years’ experience in e-commerce or B2C product management      
  • Track record of building high-impact consumer products      
  • Ability to think and perform both tactically and strategically      
  • Excellent analytical skills with demonstrated experience turning data into actionable insights      
  • Deep understanding of business strategy and metrics     
  • Passionate about building functional and engaging user experiences      
  • Cross-functional team leadership experience      
  • Entrepreneurial mindset, with a bias for customer focused innovation      
  • Ability to multi-task and work well within a dynamic, fast-paced organization
