Senior Technical Producer

| Bellevue

Do you enjoy empowering developers and technical artists to do their best in the midst of complex production constraints, helping them untangle budget considerations, multi-team dependencies, and deeply understanding needs of millions of diverse customers? Are you a tenacious alignment seeker, a master of chaos? Are you excited to engage directly with development customers to gather requirements, obtain feedback, and help developers drive solutions to a polished sheen? Do you take pride in your ability to drive alignment for coherent solutions to complex problems involving multiple customer groups and tricky technology constraints? Would you like to work with developers to create daring visuals that inspire generations to come, sitting next to top industry talent, at a company that cares deeply about work-life balance?

Imagine a tiny team of developers creating amazing AAA-quality content all by themselves! Imagine an artist, freed from the tedium of repetitive tasks, unconstrained by manual processes, driven only by her creativity to fulfill her vision! That is the world we at Unity want to create. And we need your help to create it. By leveraging the latest research in real-time rendering, our Graphics team wants to empower developers and artists to create high-quality content with ease and intuitiveness without any repetitious drudgery. We need a courageous experience producer to help us tackle the complex dependencies to make our dreams come to life in a predictable and reliable production environment, while maintaining our deep focus on work-life balance.

As a Senior Technical Producer at Unity, you will help drive the creation and maintenance of the roadmap for a large, interdisciplinary development team to build future generations of graphics technology. You will work with the team to define clear and realistic production plans and determine resource needs, help balance schedules, team morale, and the overall vision. Together, we will work with internal product management and user research teams and internal stakeholders to create and maintain a backlog of near-term and long-term features that respond to community, technical, and other feedback. You will learn our engine’s capabilities, then help us expand them by building features and pipelines that empower Unity game developers to craft incredible visual experiences. Most importantly, you will work with an exciting and high-energy team to create the best and most technologically-impressive real-time experiences and games in the world.

For examples of recent Unity real-time graphics, take a look at the Book of the Dead, Adam: Episode 1, Episode 2 and Episode 3, as well as the Neon demo. Stay tuned for more amazing graphics coming in 2018!.

An Insider's view of Unity Technologies

What are some social events your company does?

I think everybody loves the annual holiday party, and this past summer we had a company picnic that was a huge hit. My team is developing a robust events program of not only regular social functions, but also events that encourage wellness and community involvement! One of my personal favorites is the office yoga.

Casey

Workplace Experience

What projects are you most excited about?

Recently my team was awarded a Technical Emmy for our work on 3 film shorts called Baymax Dreams, which was a huge accomplishment. Right now, I'm excited to be working on XR products for the film and entertainment industry that will come to life soon.

Sarah

Producer, Made with Unity

How has your career grown since starting at the company?

Since joining Unity, the freedom and independence offered here has helped me grow tremendously. I’ve been able to work on the technologies that interest me, and work with those that have a lot of knowledge and background in the field.

Tom

XR Developer

What kinds of technical challenges do you and your team face?

One significant challenge we face is working with multiple web frameworks within the same website. Being a product of geographical separation as well as multiple acquisitions, our dashboard isn't as integrated as we would like. We work to maintain a balance between rewriting code and ensuring that we continue to deliver a high quality experience.
