Job Description

Position Summary

Are you passionate about the Customer commercial experience with F5 products, ready to roll your sleeves and lead business transformation to cloud, SaaS, and subscription, or enthused by simplification of difficult problems across internal functions and systems? If so, this is the right role for you!

In the Commercial Models and Pricing team you will be part of very dynamic and collaborative team that addresses a wide range of opportunities. As a Sr. PM Analyst, you will support and, in some cases, lead efforts on crafting new and improving existing buying programs (like ELA, Term Subscription, etc.), defining new offers and SKUs, and supporting Sales with specific Customer deals.

This role requires a good understanding of industry licensing and business practices, ability to collaborate across PM, operations and IT teams, and standard product management skills. You can expect to be mentored and supported in your skill development and career growth by diverse group of experienced Product Management professionals.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Lead and own (where appropriate) components of the buying programs!

  • Support PMs with development of new programs and life cycle management of existing buying programs (e.g., ELA, EA, Term Subscription).

  • Build, maintain, and prioritize backlog of features and epics to contribute to overall Commercial Models roadmap.

  • Work with Product PMs on offers and products inclusion into buying programs.

  • Work with Sales Operations, IT and other internal resources on operations design and improvements.

  • Build and deliver presentations to non-executive audiences.

  • Streamline associated operations (End of Sale/Life, SKU development, etc.).

  • Responsible for upholding F5’s Business Code of Ethics and for promptly reporting violations of the Code or other company policies.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Basic PM skills including requirement definition, backlog prioritization, business case formulation, roadmap management.

  • Experience with licensing, packaging, and pricing. Exposure or experience with sophisticated buying programs (like ELA) are a strong plus.

  • Ability to zoom out while maintaining focus on detail.

  • Ability to learn quickly, build consensus and interact effectively with teams-Product Management, cross-functional or vendor.

  • Knowledge of business process and change management methods.

  • Strong organizational skills, strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills.

  • Solid understanding of ADO (Azure DevOps) and/or Jira product management tools are a plus.

  • Experience with SAFE Agile or other agile methods is a plus.

  • Duties may require being on call periodically and working outside normal working hours (evenings).

  • Duties are performed in a normal office environment while sitting at a desk or computer table.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or another relevant field.

  • 3+ years of licensing, pricing, sales, or equivalent.

  • Experience using Microsoft Office products (emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint).
