DESCRIPTION

The Environmental Assurance and Protection (EAP) team is seeking a Senior Product Manager to start and manage our rapidly expanding cross-functional product needs. This role will be responsible for working across the EAP org, delivering a wide range of support in the form of PR/FAQs, strategy docs, coordination across program and tech teams, and general EAP product support.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to support key initiatives and products that impact Field Operations, Hazmat Storage, Waste, Extended Producer Responsibility, and general environmental governance and programs. You will define and influence strategies to deliver environmental assurance and protection across Amazon Operations. You will work with other program managers, product managers and software development managers to deliver both tech and non-tech features that support the strategic goals of the teams and efforts.

Amazon is investing in our environmental footprint and aggressively expanding our environmental initiatives so this role requires a hands-on approach. You will work extensively with a wide range of internal stakeholders, navigating the space between on-the-ground product needs and practical tech solutions.

Responsibilities include:
· Define and deliver product roadmaps across all EAP teams as needed and based on a developed priority matrix
· Work with software development teams/TPMs to define and build features that support each effort and deliverable
· Prioritize features and make trade-offs to deliver the best business value, where necessary move quickly and iterate to deliver a scalable solution. Readjust priorities to ensure the right customer, technology, and engineering outcomes
· Define bi-annual plans, and influence partner team roadmaps where necessary
· Collaborate with internal Amazon businesses to define new requirements and features for the product
· Build relationships with upstream/downstream partner teams, working to influencing their roadmaps to support product requirements
· Partner with Amazon regional teams to develop regional specific programs as required
· Coordinate with Amazon tech teams to develop new EAP mechanisms that enable the program teams to move faster and more effectively
· Assist in drafting weekly/monthly MBR/quarterly QBR reports
· Develop and deliver working backwards docs/PRFAQs as necessary to communicate with senior leaders across functions
· Create, and iterate as necessary, a strategic roadmap for the EAP PM Org that covers both short and long term deliverables and initiatives that drive environmental performance

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

· Bachelor’s Degree
· Minimum 5+ years of experience leading delivery for large, cross functional projects across multiple teams. Experience prioritizing complex deliverables, managing technical discussions, and running large meetings with technical and business leaders
· Experience using negotiation skills to make smart trade-offs (e.g., time vs. effort vs. features), driving appropriate schedules
· Experience driving product discussions and creating vision docs/PR FAQs
· Experience working with program managers and stakeholders to define effective Business Requirement Documents to enable technical teams to deliver features with minimal ambiguity and clear use cases/acceptance criteria; addressing edge cases, and including/excluding user stories that deliver the most impact
· Experience using communication (both verbal and written) with a variety of technical and non-technical audiences
· Experience delivering requirements from large and diverse sets of customers, partners, vendors, and regional agencies/business entities

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 5 years in product management, technical product management, or program management
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business or Environmental Science / Engineering / Management, or other Environmental Sustainability fields or equivalent
· Advanced Environmental Engineering degree or MBA or Graduate degree in Business preferred
· Experience in a fast paced, changing/growing organization is a plus.
· Strong analytical skills with demonstrated problem solving ability.
· Ability to adapt to fast-paced environments with changing directions and strategy.
· Ability to work to targets and deadlines and prioritize tasks as per needs and leadership expectation.
· Know how and when to escalate without damaging relationships
· Proven track record of sound decision making, taking ownership and delivering results.

· Demonstrate a level of interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and achieve results.
· Think big and outside the box to implement game changing ideas that align with the right long-term vision
